2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2003 Bottled. It's certainly okay, just nothing great. There's a lot in its favor: a sudsy head over an amber body and a malty nose, a little like a Vienna. And yes, a malty, slightly sticky taste, but as they say, very little hop flavor. After being well pleased with this brewery's Oscar's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, this is kind of a letdown. But if this is their "flagship" brand, it's a little better example to have on the shelves than any mega-lager.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Wet grainy nose. More orange pour than most lagers. Actually doesn’t taste that bad. A little watery, but plenty of grain on the tongue. taste quickly departs.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Courtesy of Skyview. Very murky brown/orange color with a quickly collapsing large head. Fairly heavy floral and citrus hops for a pale lager. Those fade in the flavor a lot. Mostly grains and caramel.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
hazy amber, medium quickly dissipating head, tiny white bubbles with slight lacing. not at all pale lagery looking. very sweet malt, perhaps hint of hop in nose. flavor is earthy malt and floral hops which do not offset each other very well. no body, mildly bitter finish. i like lagers, so this one is disappointing in its complete lack of lagerliness. 6 pack from liquor depot in monee.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Amber in color with no head and low carbonation. Aroma is a bit nutty with some biscuit aromas. Flavor is nothing really special, low caramel sweetness and little bit of a walnut taste. Overall not too impressive of a beer but definitely better than the macro options.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A none too impressive lager, tasting largely of malty corn. The Beer of the Month people need to try a little harder.

This came from the BOM club. Really not that good. Oh well. How much can you say about a beer you will probably never drink again?

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz bottle. Poured a clear dark orange color. Head was two fingers high and off white with decent retention. Some lace was left behind at the end. There were whiffs of biscuity malt and subdued caramel, but not much else. Dry and grainy flavor accented by white paper and some grassy hops. Eh.
