3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
13th November 2013
Tasting at Bruce’ s pad. Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream coloured head. Smooth airy palate. Softish. Really nice floral lime with a little pine and mild marmalade. Touch of lemon. Underneath is nice soft creamy malt. Comes together well. Smooth finish with a decent bitter linger.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared at my 5K tasting at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to Kenny for this one, 13/11/13. #197 whatever that refers to on the bottle !?!
Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering.
Nose is bitter orange, grapefruit, straw, orange sherbet.
Taste comprises orange pith, hint mango, grapefruit, toasted malts, bread dough, light booze.
Medium bodied, fine carbonatio, dry grassy hop bitterness in the closure.
Ok DIPA - not a particularly aggressive number making for an easy drinking affair.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(old) Bottle... Cloudy deep-golden pour with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma offers spicy, resiny hops and tons of lime. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. The flavor is modestly bitter and, like the nose, boasts truckloads of lime. Low acidity. Mildly bitter finish. This may have been more enjoyable had I not cellared it for so long, but it also may not have been. There was still plenty of lime essence, but a fresher bottle would have been more bitter. I don’t like "more bitter." F*ck IPAs. Yep... that’s how I roll. Bottle courtesy of BBB63!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Multiple draft pour at the PW "Kegger". Nice aroma with a ton of citrus and a bit of pine. Flavor is all lime. Lime up the ass. Would definitely consider it more of a fruit beer than an IPA but the bitterness and pithiness is def there mimicking hops.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours cloudy golden-orange with a small white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, mango, passion fruit, marmalade and sherbet. The taste is doughy, crisp, spice, orange peel, grapefruit, mandarin, lime pith, peppery, light alcohol and decent bitterness with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty decent.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
22 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of citrus hops, limey zest, and herbal notes. Flavour is extremely limey, with loads of citrusy lime hops - not a whole lot else. The like is very front and centre, without much else that’s discernible. Okay at first, but it gets too limey after a while. Drinkable, but not very enjoyable.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22oz bottle, thanks to DanielCoor and his dad for sharing! Amazing lime juice and zest to this, makes it a very refreshing summer time DIPA! Refreshing in the way that Lemon Lime gatorade used to be when I played high school football, but way less sweet... Very nice moderate bitterness to balance out the lightly sweet zest. Good biscuity malt balance to it, as well... In the aroma there’s a scent that’s like freshed-baked lemon bar cookies some friends made a couple weeks ago, only with lime zest... Medium-plus body. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, lightly dry in the finish. Mostly clear golden color, thin white head, leaves good dots of lace. This was a real treat. Exactly the kind of zesty, drinkable, refreshing, but potent DIPA I’m looking for, especially in the summer. Cans of this... Can you imagine cans of this?!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared at Indy tasting: Golden hue with spotty lace. The aroma has notes of Citra and Simcoe like citrus and tropical esters along with some catty and spicy vapours. Dry biscuit and earthy yeast, lots of lime leaf notes as well. The taste is twangy and fruity that get quite bitter as it warms. A tad too boozy for complete refreshment. The mouth feel is lively and sharp. Very different but methinks the beer could have been better a bit more sessionable like an APA versus the DIPA that it is.
