COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abduction in the dead of night, an eerie silence consumes the blackened sky. In an instant, BOOM, a single beam engulfs you. Panic stricken, you flee in no particular direction. Itís of little use, as youíre lifed effortlessly from the safety and comfort of the earth intoa darkness unknown. Resistance is futile. They have you now. Abduction has you now.

Pours black as night with a big creamy cocoa colored head. Aroma brings rich chocolate malts and subtle sweetened coffee undertones. Body is so creamy bringing roasted chocolate malts flavors that are smooth on the palate.

Looking very much the part of an imperial stout, Abduction is supremely dark brown in color with a medium brown head. You can practically see the roasted, stained liquid malt runoff. Itís an oil slick. The head is almost orange - itís beautiful. The nose is sweet and malty and thereís a thick sweetness in the aroma that reminds me of a caramelized... caramel, with only a touch of dark chocolate/cocoa butter. Itís really great, heavily roasted and super sweet. Thereís something thin, but condensed, about this. Some possible coffee character appears occasionally in the flavor, with some caramel and chocolate, much like a tootsie roll. Yes, very much like a tootsie roll. That about sums up this delicious, and very unique, imperial stout.

Pours black. Thick tan head. Sweet aroma. First sips are sweet with strong licorice flavor. Smooths out a bit. Solid beer.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2014 Bottle... This beer rocks!... Pitch-black pour with a small, creamy, taupe head. Good retention. The aroma is highlighted by a plush marriage of gooey fudge and a double chocolate brownie. Full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and kicked-back carbonation. The flavor presents semi-sweet dark chocolate and espresso with a mild, savory nuance of molasses. Roasty, bittersweet, mocha finish. BBB63 comes through with the world class goods!

Batch #247 ... Black pour ruby hue, beige head and light sticky lacing ... Aroma of roasted and chocolatey malts, has a sweet dark fruitiness to it .... Taste is of coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate malts, some dark fruit qualities and caramel malts with almost a sweet lactose to it ..... Mouthfeel is slightly oily ... Has a lingering sweetness in the finish along with chocolatey roasted flavor .... Not bad abv hidden well

Thanks to the kind soul who shared this at the Pre-Hunahpu Thursday Tasting. Pours a stout brown color with a tan head. Nose is roast, chocolate, earth, coffee, and some booze. Flavor is similar with roast, coffee, earth, slight licorice, and some booze. Medium in body and a nice stout overall.

Bottle thanks to a random guy at CCB. Poured a nice black color. Immediate aroma of coffee. I even get a little bourbon smell. The taste is small bodied in a good way.b some coffee. Coats the mouth and stays with you. The back end is the best part. Still taste the beer.

Dark brown pour, brown head. Quite roasty, a hint of a metallic flavor, but I still get a lot of nice chocolate notes, licorice, light smoke notes.

Batch 60. Bottle. Lots of coffee in the nose with some booze. Minimal light brown head. Initially a papery stale flavor. Slightly tart. Roasty towards the end. Hmmm. Interesting. Donít think it held up well.

Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Batch 60. Pours a dark, nearly black colors. Roasty, boozy aroma, grainy, chocolate. Roasty and choco notes. Papery, stale like character - oxidized. Not bad overall but not amazing.
