COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abduction in the dead of night, an eerie silence consumes the blackened sky. In an instant, BOOM, a single beam engulfs you. Panic stricken, you flee in no particular direction. It’s of little use, as you’re lifed effortlessly from the safety and comfort of the earth intoa darkness unknown. Resistance is futile. They have you now. Abduction has you now.

Pour is a very dark brown with a tight light brown head. Nose is a light roast, some chocolate and vanilla notes, with a fair bit of sugary malt sweetness and berries. Body is thick and decadent. Roast is heavier, notes of chocolate and vanilla. Faint bitterness and the berry and slightly sugary malt accompany a semi dry finish.

A: Really dark and black, strong creamy light brown head with nice two finger head. Nice lacing that sticks. S: First hit of aroma was espresso with some dark chocolate, and figs. Really pleasant smelling. Some alcohol T: Again begins with the espresso and chocolate then moves to bittersweet cocoa, molasses, and some piney notes. A touch of alcohol at the end. M: medium to full-bodied with a really nice creaminess that I enjoy. O: Really nice beer, cant wait to try the fruit variations of this beer.

Sample from batch #100 at Kurtkeller 004: Pipeworks-tastic 01 on 01/18/2014. Black pour with a medium khaki head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a cocoa and malt aftertaste. Solid Stout overall.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2014 Pours a deep black with a foam ring that hugs my glass. The aroma contains slight yeast, chocolate, roasted malts, and an undertone of hops. In the flavor I picked up on a medium lingering bitterness, hints of burnt carmel, mild roasted malts, and bitter cocoa. The booze is masked nicely. Overall I enjoyed this very much.

Pours opaque mahogany, with no head. Taste is weird, almost soured dark malt, a bit of ash, and a layer of brown sugar sweetness. Taste is ashy, gross coffee grounds, sweet malt, and a long, dirty finish. Thin and very low carbonation.

Bomber to giant snifter. Deep and dark but not thick and oily. Nice velvety carbonation. Very rich and intense roasted malt flavor.. Huge and delicious. Just the way I like them.
