4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 BBB63 (5411) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - OCT 19, 2012
Very waxed bottle and served in my Pipeworks snifter: Pours basically opaque with a fading tan head and left spotty lace upon the glassware. The aroma smacks down with lush liquorice, tar, leather, tobacco, roast, char, chocolate, espresso, and some resiny, catty and vinous hop kick. Smell very fresh, perhaps too green at this point. The taste is brash young aggressive hop bitterness over layers of heavy sticky sweet and toasty malts. Very earthy and very alpha acid driven! Anise, pepper and some clove round out the edges. Even a touch of smoke is found rumbling aboot. The mouth feel is sort of stuck between lush and sticky and lively and brash... yeah it is still a brash snotty boy that needs a timeout to chill the fuck out but the chance for growth is there for all to see.

12/24/12. Bomber courtesy cbfobes! Black pour with a really nice tan head that sticks forever and coats the glass with lacing. Toasty cocoa powder and lots of roast in the aroma with burnt caramel and a touch of acidity. Huge dry roasted malt kick right away but then with a big sweet and lightly sour/acidic kick. Lingering chocolate and sweet coffee.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 crossovert (4565) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 17, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 14, 2012 Dark black pour with a fizzy head that quickly dissipates. It smells nice but a bit weak. It is cocoa-y with some coffee. Dark fruits round it out. The first sip brings to mind grape cough syrup which is weird. The flavor continues to be fruity and boozy. It has some espresso too but mostly a sugary fruitiness. I don’t know if I am a huge fan of it.
Had another bottle of the same batch (same store even) and liked it alot more. Not sure if my palate was fucked up or not.

Bomber. Batch 41.Pours a pitch black color with a medium creamy brown head. A nice nose of ash, fruity hops. The flavor is initially quite hoppy with pine, some light roast, cocoa, more ash and bitter dark chocolate. Really hoppy for a stout and well made. Great full palate.

22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99- thanks again, Tom! Batch 100. Pours a dark chocolate brown with a small tan head. Massive chocolate in the aroma, with roasted malts, nuts, and a bit of fresh coffee. Flavor of milk and dark chocolate, caramel, roasted malts, nuts, and coffee. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, rich, chocolaty mouthfeel. So simple and well made.
