3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rusty yellow color. Not too dark. Very hoppy aroma and taste. Citrus floral and pine. Slight red malt by not as my has most imperial reds. More of an imperial IPA with a hint of red.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Deep reddish hued caramel, HUGE frothy tannish head, nice lacing. Whole wheat breadiness, silght citrus peel and pith, a touch of caramel. Honeycomb cereal and biscuit on the tongue. Needs more hop to counteract this nearly cloying sweetness. As it warms the hops come out a bit more. Seems like an Imperial Amber. Bready, citrus peel and pith, a touch candied. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Musty tea like hops on the finish, slight caramel, a little bready. A bit better than average I musty say, but nothing crazy. Thanks Kevin!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle, shared by DanielCoor. Batch 142. Hazy darker red/orange color. Thin khaki head, some lace. Bigger body, lighter, smooth, kind of lightly soft carbonation. Lightly dry in the finish. Nice spicy hop, tropical fruit, toasty malt, light caramel candy. Hint of chocolate; toffee. Tropical fruit punch type flavors. It’s all good, but flavor is a little light, especially for 8.5%. On the plus side, body is a little lighter than that ABV suggests too, it drinks like 7.5%. Moderate sweet, moderate bitter taste. Solid imperial red ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours amber/brown with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of citrusy and resinous hops plus a food amount of caramel and light cereal from the malts. Flavor the same with a nice blend of both. Average to smooth texture. Something about most imperial reds just doesn’t do it for me, but I like the hops on this one.

22oz shared by Cliff, Thanks man. This is a surprisingly tasty brew, big and chewy but nicely hopped and quaffable, I drank it. I dug it.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Really, really impressive imperial red ale from Pipeworks. Everything I’ve had from them so far is super top notch. Pours a dark crimson, with little to no head. Viscous and thick, hoppy, and complex. A real treat.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Batch 141. Pours dark amber into tulip. Decent foamy head from pour. Tons of hops on the nose, kinda of orangy and piney also. Beer is very light with a hoppy and bitter finish that hangs around to go with the maltyness. Pretty well carbonated. Suprised this is labeled as a red ale, not a DIPA, but reds can have a hoppy profile as well. Would like a little less bitterness but still good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with Andrew and kramer back at the hotel after THE FESTIVAL 2013. Pours an amber body with light lacing. Aroma is sweet pine hop, caramel malt, light alcohol and spice. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of pine, sweet & sticky resin character, spice, and lots of sweet caramel malt. Light booze towards the finish.
