3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Binnyís Marcey. Really dig the label. Pours a hazy and glowing deep gold with a big frothy white head that sticks around. Nose is pretty citrusy, lots of orange peel in here. Some white pepper and sweetness as well. Biscuity malts and passion fruit? Pretty neat. On tasting, there are some higher alcohols. The hops all blend nicely with the herbal continental hops intermingling with the fruitier American varietals. Really dry finish, minimal warming. Just some sharper alcohol qualities. Nice body here with a good malt base that keeps it tight. Nice enough beer for sure.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a light gold with significant head and lace. Aroma of bread dough and white chocolate covered raisins. Medium carbonation and significant mouthfeel. Flavors of powdered sugar, light malts, floral hops, light white pepper, slight banana, light herbs, slight toothpaste. Overall flavorful, smooth, relatively easy drinking and tasty with a slight sharp candy cane like bite at the end.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, caramel and pale malts, hints of dough and light fruits, and light hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty good beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20

Very hazy gold beer, decent white head. Palate is slightly soft but with prickly fine carbonation. Dry creamy malt. Mild seltzer minerals. Sweet esters and a little spice. Fairly dry finish. Not bad but could so with more hops!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bling a$$ label. Fruity, yeast aroma with some floral aspects. Tatse is more fruits (pineapple, citrus, peaches perhaps), grains. This is a different one. Strange in the fact that I canít determine if the yeast or hops are speaking for the fruity tastes. I dig due to the uniqueness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Batch 131 Hazy yellow with a small, but consistent head. The aroma is huge on esters. Mostly pineapple, pear, bubblegum, and apple. There is also some solvent and clove present. The flavor brings more of the same and in a smooth and sweet package. Finishes with a touch of tartness and slightly more phenolic presence and some alochol warming on the finish. Not as dry as to be expected but very drinkable considering gravity. All in all this is a very well made strong golden ale. I wold be interested to know what strain/strains of yeast were used and at what temp. Great job guys.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from West Lakeview Liquors. A murky gold pour with a lasting white head on top that leaves some solid lacing. Yeast, lemon, pear, bready malt, and light grassy notes in the scent. The flavor is kicked off with sweet fruity esters of pear, apple, and even some plum notes. Yeast notes join in and the Pilsner malt base is definitely noticeable and thickens this up while providing a bready/cracker-like taste. Sticky and alcoholic; some dusty orange spice counters a little of that but thereís quite a bit of lingering alcohol tang. Big, heavy, and a borderline chore to drink although it never gets undrinkable for me. While there are some good things going on here it never really comes together for me. Probably just a little too amped up.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle, thanks to DanielCoorís dad for sharing! Totally hazy, lighter yellow color. Good thin white head, some loose dots of lace. Good, estery, fruity belgian aroma. Bigger body, smooth soft lighter carbonation, lightly dry finish. Light lemon zest. Moderate zesty sweet taste, light to moderate bitter - above average bitterness for a golden, but I like it. Alcohol is not noticeable or over sweet - this beer does a great job at not being too sweet, a lot of belgian strongs can go overboard with that. Some nice pineapple juice. Great, complex, belgian strong golden ale.
