Bottle with Sean Tommy. Pours a cloudy amber with tan head and lace. Nose of pineapple, tons of caramel, light citrus and pineapple. Slightly astringent. Totally cripped out. I bet this is great fresh.

Bomber via Archer Liquors , Chicago, pours a hazy burnt orange copper color with a small head. Nose is sweet like sniffing a tropical freshly cut tropical fruit bowl . Taste is sweet citrus, very subdued bitterness with the alcohol well blended and hidden. Drinks so easily and comfortably with a bittersweet finish. A premier brewery, thanks Randy. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Sample from batch #239-240-241 at Kurtkeller 004: Pipeworks-tastic 01 on 01/18/2014. The beer is a slightly cloudy copper-amber color with a thick off-white head that dissipates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and toasted malt. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops, caramel malt and pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a grapefruit and hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared with family on Christmas Eve. Pours a slightly murky copper color with a thin head. Spotty lacing. As with all other Ninja beers, this is big and hoppy. Bitter and sweet tropical fruit flavors of papaya, grapefruit, and mango. Resin notes provide some stickiness. This has a pretty big caramel malt bill. Noticeable alcohol makes it slightly less easy to consume than some other Ninjas. Not as good as Citra or Ninja vs Unicorn but this is solid.

Bomber from the Art of Beer, batch 240. Pours an orangey yellow with a white head leaving a lot of streaky lacing. Aroma has sweet fruits, citrus and pine with caramel back. Taste is of oranges & grapefruits, spicy pine needles, some onion-y herbs and resin with a solid malt backbone. Medium bodied and sticky. Some alcohol presence. Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet with some length. Solid tasty DIPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from 22oz bottle, pours a hazy orange amber with an off white head and a little bit of lacing in the glass, aroma has a ton of grapefruit and tropical fruit, with the sweetness of the malt and caramel present as well though, the flavor was a little more sweet than I was expecting, some fruit on the front end with a sweeter finish of caramel, nice balance though, the mouthfeel is slick but full at the same time, the abv isn’t completely hidden which I was kind of hoping for, good, just doesn’t live up to the Citra that I had a year ago or so.
