COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dry saison brewed with sweet, bright Meyer lemons and chamomile, was made in celebration of the wedding between Carl (a cool dude who knows how to sling some insanely fresh fish) and the lovely Jaimie. We’re hooked on it. Now, we’re not just casting you a line here, chamomile and saison yeast are a perfect marriage, and the Meyer lemons add to the al-luring bouquet. Our most (in)sincerest apologies for all the crappie fish puns.

Bottle. Poured a hazy orange yellow color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy spice, citrus and yeast aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. I would recommend and shared with friends.

750 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy golden orange color with very little head. The aroma and flavor have lemony citrus, floral notes, sticky sweet, bubblegum, soft carbonation, softer finish, good flavor some mild herbal bitterness to the finish.

750 ml bottle to taster (shared by Tmoney99). Looks good; a very slightly hazy gold with white head. Smells of lemon, tea, and mild yeast. Tastes like it smells with a semi-sweet backbone and a medium-bodied mouthfeel that’s on the dryer side. A good saison.

A herbal beer if there ever was one. Hazy gold colour, good head and lacing. Aroma and taste are lemon and chamomile tea, which I enjoy drinking at night. hot, without carbonation. Maybe I should have drank it from a mug?

750 mL bottle. Pours a cloudy, straw-yellow, fluffy white head with excellent retention and decent lacing (reading some of the other reviews, I’m wondering how clean their glassware was... or if they were slathering on the chapstick). Nose is floral (lilies and daffodils... like those bulbs poking up out front in the concrete slab full of dirt, which is what people in my neighborhood call the ’front yard’), yeasty funk, honey, hay, lemon peel, slight medicinal like gum arabic, and a touch metallic. Mouth is creamy and medium bodied, doughy, lemon zest, spicy yeast funk, lightly sweet, grassy chamomile, pleasant bitterness at the finish. Nice Saison to remind me Spring is here -- even if it is in the 30s and I’m watching hockey rather than baseball (think the Sox are in a delay anyway).

750ml bottle. Light hazed golden pour, lasting soapy white head. Smell is saison yeast, medicinal, lemon zest. Flavor is sweetish, lots of lemon, backing spice. Make this 5% and its a winner.

Bottle and served in PW snifter: pours a hazy golden hue with a fading frothy head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of lemon zest, flowers, yeast driven spices, biscuit and wheat, and a hint of band-aid and dankness too. The taste is awesome! Love how the tart and yet slightly sweet Meyer Lemons work with the yeast character and the biscuity and husky malt background. Just a bit of herbal bitterness rounds things out. Really adds another layer of complexity. The mouth feel is smooth and grainy but more than refreshing enough thanks to the lemon mouth watering effect and spritz-y character. Overall I am really digging this, while not traditional per say there is still a nice yeast tone. I would put this up there with Saison du Soleil (also a citrus Saison) as my 2nd fav PW Saisons after North and Western of course.
