3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate citrus, tropical fruit, and grapefruit. It pours a mostly transparent dark amber/copper with a touch of haze and a small off-white head that leaves a good amount of soapy webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with with tropical fruits and a touch of sweet citrus. The finish is moderate-heavy grapefruit with just a hint of lemon. It’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a very dark amber, almost brownish color with a finger length of an off-white head that goes away slowly and leaves behind a thick ring of lacing. Decent carbonation coming off the glass. Smells like centennial hops should. Tons of floral, some resinous pine, a tropical fruit that I can’t put my finger on, some grapefruit, and lemon. Also get a hint of toffee and light breadiness. Tastes like it smells. Starts with some hoppy grapefruit and floral notes. Then the middle brings lots of malts to balance the increasingly big hop flavors. Big notes of toffee and breadiness. The finish brings more grapefruit, lemon, floral, tropical fruit, toffee, little breadiness, and lots of resinous pine. Just a tinge of alcohol, but it is well integrated into the beer and goes well with the astringent hop flavors. The astringent pine and floral are the two flavors that coat the mouth and linger on the palate. High medium body that’s very creamy from the malts and oily, resinous, and sticky from the hops. Well balanced with a great showing of the centennial hop, which is becoming standard for Pipeworks.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautifully hazy amber with an off white head and spotty lacing. Bold citrus-hop aroma. A heavy handed Imperial/Double IPA . Another impressive effort from the fine people at PIpeworks.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a golden with a frothy, lingering white head. The aroma is very fruity while big in citrus. Orange, grapefruit, mango, peach, slight apple, slight pear, and pine. There is a lot going on in here. The taste does take a step back. Its quite dry, and there is much more pine to be found. Its still heavy in orange and grapefruit, with the aftertaste focusing on the orange flavor with a strong piney impression that sticks to your tongue. Its medium in body and has a sticky texture. Lively carbonation, although I’d say its typical for the style. This is good, and I enjoyed it. I admit that I was expecting more.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle served in a Pipeworks snifter. Batch #153.
A: Pours a hazy amber color with some darker hues throughout the body. An off-white head forms on the pour and recedes to a thick collar that leaves some sticky webbing down the glass.
S: Piney with some orange pith. There’s a slight tropical fruit note, but it’s in the periphery.
T: Dry, piney and bitter. Definitely the most bitter of the Ninja series. Light citrus notes with some light grassy earth. Bready malts with some body to it. Slightly sweet malt profile as well.
M: Medium bodied with a dry mouthfeel. Medium carbonation level with a bitter finish.
O: Dry and bitter all the way. If you like that type of DIPA then should be right up your alley. The malts were sweet enough that it cute through the bitterness slightly. Enjoyed this one for sure.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from 22oz bomber, shelf whale bros, pours a cloudy golden orange with a lasting off white head and quite a bit of lacing in the glass, the aroma is pretty intense, as soon as you crack the bottle the hops and citrus come pouring out, obviously not as citrus and tropical as the citra ninja, but still a ton going on, the flavor has a ton of hops and bitterness on the front end with a nice mixture of sweet malt in the finish, the abv is pretty much hidden through out, I think this was a bit old, (like 7 weeks) but still really enjoyable.
