Swan Song at Bruce’s. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Comparatively light palate, semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Sweet toffee and dark chocolate. Mild lactose, sort of Milky Way centre. Modest cherry, some maraschino character. Not bad, a bit lactose.

Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, coffee, soft cherry and small alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy sweet cherry, dark toasted malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle, big thanks to Alexsdad06 for sharing. Very dark chocolate aroma, love it, and a nice amount of raspberry. Yeah, tastes almost exactly like a raspberry truffle; on the mark. Touch of coffee / roast. Bigger body. Mild chewiness. Kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick. Near-black color, some clear red. Little tan head, some bits of lace. Bigger bitter taste, some bite. Lighter to moderate sweet. Tasty abduction. I like raspberry, I like dark chocolate, I like this. And I like the bitterness, manages to not be too sweet.

22 oz bottle shared with the group. Pours dark brown to black with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, dark chocolate, a decent cherry character, light alcohol, good body, not quite a standout, but solid nonetheless.
