Bottle at the tasting. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is soft, juicy, sweet, plum, liquorice, candy, date, sugary and candy. The taste is bitter-sweet, juicy, cherry, dirt, light acidity, fruit cake, candy, sweet and booze with a dry finish. Medium to full body and fine carbonation. Big and sweet. Filthy.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, coffee, soft cherry and small alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy sweet cherry, dark toasted malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.

22oz bottle, big thanks to Alexsdad06 for sharing. Very dark chocolate aroma, love it, and a nice amount of raspberry. Yeah, tastes almost exactly like a raspberry truffle; on the mark. Touch of coffee / roast. Bigger body. Mild chewiness. Kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick. Near-black color, some clear red. Little tan head, some bits of lace. Bigger bitter taste, some bite. Lighter to moderate sweet. Tasty abduction. I like raspberry, I like dark chocolate, I like this. And I like the bitterness, manages to not be too sweet.

22 oz bottle shared with the group. Pours dark brown to black with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, dark chocolate, a decent cherry character, light alcohol, good body, not quite a standout, but solid nonetheless.

(draft @ Local Option - Chicago, IL) Dark brown pour with a thick tan head. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma with a milder hint of cherries than the raspberry one had. Flavor is sweet and chocolatey with a good amount of roast and a hint of tart cherries near the finish.

Bottle @ THT November. Pours a pitch black beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma of licorice, cherry, light chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet, light boozy and I was expecting some of the distinguishing truffle taste in there, but there wasn’t. Fruits are in there. Aftertaste is sweet, slightly boozy. Good stuff, but misses some complexity.
