Bottle: Very dark pour, black center with a slight hint of brown at the edges; nice, foamy, light-mocha head on tap, long-lasting & chunky leaving good lacing behind. Aroma has notes of musty cherry jam & cherry marmalade with a chocolate candy bar underbody & hints of brown sugar rounding things out. Taste is a mixture of semi-sweet cherry jam & milky, melted chocolate. Some light roasted malt notes on the edges with hints of brown sugar, nuts, & dry cocoa dust. The cherry stays sweet & never gets medicinal, which is good. I enjoyed this one quite a bit, though it may be my personal least favorite of the Abduction series (so far).

This is a cherry truffle beast. Smells of charred wood, cherries, dough, leather. Taste is slightly syrupy cherries, chocolate, licorice. Finish is slightly tart, astringent. Alcohol is strong from the get-go. This is a sipper.

Bottle. Jet black pour, dark khaki head. Lots of roast and slightly sour cherries as well as cocoa in the aroma. Deep dark chocolate, toasty malts, roasted coffee, very slight tart cherry as well in the flavor. Medium to heavier velvety body. I think this is solid, though I prefer the raspberry version much more.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate and dark malts, cherry, light notes of vanilla, some hints of roast, lactose, and some light bitterness. Flavors not really the best blend of everything. Average texture. A decent beer but not the best.

Bottle. Pour is deep brown/black with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavor of medicinal cherry syrup, hop bitterness, citrus, dark grains, and smoke. Finish is chocolate, cherries, and medicine. Eh.

Bottle split at Bruces pad - for the last time, thanks to Kenwold, 27/03/15. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is spice, dark fruits, chocolate, tar, ripe red berries. Taste comprises rich fruit, dark chocolate, spice, charr, cherry skins. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent impy, masks the ABV well.

Swan Song at Bruce’s. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Comparatively light palate, semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Sweet toffee and dark chocolate. Mild lactose, sort of Milky Way centre. Modest cherry, some maraschino character. Not bad, a bit lactose.

Bottle share, thanks to Ken. Black, small ring of white head. Aroma is liquorice, lactose, quite a lot of seaweed, algae, some salty cabbage. Body is medium, tingly carbonation, slightly foamy. Taste is lightly vegetal, some coffee, cherry, molasses, some more salty seaweed, dry finish. Decent, very interesting.
