4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thanks to St.Fun for this bomber as part of a trade. Poured cold from the bomber into a pint glass. Hazy orange with a medium head. Floral aroma, but not as strong as I’d like (but perhaps I had it too cold...). Initially, it had some citrus, but a pronounced hop bitterness at the finish. I would have rated it at about a 15 or 16 if I stopped there. But as it sat for longer (I drank it myself over an hour) the bitterness smoothed out and complexity of the citra hops came out in all of their glory. Grapefruit, mango, pineapple, it had it all. Next time, I’ll take it out of the fridge 15 minutes before I pour it.

22oz Bottle. Pour is opaque with an orange heavy hue. Fairly thin white head. Nose is a floral citrus bomb with sweet malt as a backstop. Taste follows with a juicy citrus sweet malt explosion. Absolutely top notch and easily one of the best DIPAs out there if you are a Citra hops fan.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange pour with a white head. Big pineapple, grapefruit, and pine hops. Floral notes, some sweet caramel, peach, and mango. Nice nose. The flavor is a touch sweet with a lot of fruit notes and some caramel malt. There’s a ton of pineapple, mango, and grapefruit. Some bitter pine, a touch of grass, and a nice floral note.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a orange amber with a beige head and sweet, pleasant aroma of mango and apricot. Taste is bittersweet, lots of bitter hops up front with citrus, apricot, and mango with a massive bitter finish. Amazing DIPA, lots of flavor and bitterness throughout

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a amber orange color. Nose will knock your socks off, all fresh peaches and mango, with some apricots. Taste is all fresh tropical fruits, including pineapple, mango and peaches, a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Finishes beautifully with the flavors lingering. Can this be better than 3Fs Dreadnaught or as good, I think so. Thanks Archer and thank you Pipeworks. Quaff Score 9 / 10

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy orange color with a white head. Smells of alcohol and tropical fruit. The flavor at first hits you with bitterness, then bright tropical fruits, and then finishes with alcohol astringency. The alcohol component faded out as I drank more of the beer and my palate adjusted, which made it quite delicious, but it was there on my first few sips.

Bottle with some friends at Ray’s. Pours a cloudy copper with tan head and lace. Nose of citrus, resin, grapefruit, onion, caramel malt. Very hoppy, solid bitterness. Lived up to the hype.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle... Mostly clear orange pour with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. I stick my nose into the glass and find a grapefruit rind/marijuana/sweaty armpit collection of odors. Well, at least there’s the grapefruit component to sort of "save the day." Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor provides a stream of malty toffee and caramel flowing alongside heavy, rindy, hop bitterness. Nicely-balanced overall, but the hops are really the stars of this show. Finishes modestly bitter, tongue-numbing and grassy. Big-time thanks to the always-generous BBB63 for floating this bottle my way!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz. bottle from Binny’s South Loop. Pours a clear amber light brown with a medium sized white head that leaves some spotty lace. The aroma has the signature of the citra hops; big orange, tangerine, and tropical fruit notes, some of the ground peels thrown in, with caramel and some lightly toasted malts flying under the radar. The flavor had more of a malt presence to balance the assertive citra hops. Nice tangerine, orange and tropical fruits, toasted malts, caramel, and some pithy and mild resiny notes. The alcohol serves to warm, but is not very noticeable in the flavor. I am glad to have picked this up shortly after hitting the shelves. Very good.
