4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark copper with a finger of off white head that dissipates quickly to a cap. Decent amount of slippery lacing. Nose is all citrus. Typical citrus notes: A lot of mango, pineapple and grapefruit followed up by a lot of floral hops. Mouth is awesome. A lot of citrus and floral hops. A perfect amount of bitterness mixed with the citrus notes. The mango and grapefruit stand out. Not overly bitter, but the perfect amount. This was an awesome beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted from a bomber. It poured a cloudy golden hue with huge white foamy head. Hops, pineapple, orange, & lemon nose with a powerful hop kick to your buds. A hopheadís delight with just the right amount of bitterness. Another tasty little number in a long line of delicious IPAs from those hard working Chicagoans at Pipeworks.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This was an Imperial Assault on my Old Factory Senses, in a good way. Effervescent wafts of citra hops cares my nosebuds, a bright orange cloudy hue entrance my vision, and the luscious lovely taste and notations of of a firm yet gentle Imperial IPA finish me off just right. Also a slight bit alcoholy, eh.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from Rabbot, drunk 8/4/16.
Lightly-to-minimally hazy, golden-brass body shows ample carbonation and a large, white head with good retention.
Smells nice and sweaty, with lemon oil, light strawberry, conifer and some dank, grassy-greenery. Thereís certainly an element of juiciness here, but itís by no means a juice bomb (not intended to be, Iím sure). Theyíve done justice to the citra hop, which is quite finicky, adding no onion/garlic/wet cat and leaving a crackery malt in the background with very light honey and a touch of booze on the end.
In the mouth itís fairly soft and round from the dextrinous malts, with a good deal of carbonation propelling the lemony-grassy hops about. Light stone fruits, moderate pine and definitely some hot, pithy resin and alcohol on the end. I think Pipeworks IPAs are great and very clean, except for the surplus of alcohol/resin found in this and even moreso in the Ninja vs. Unicorn I had recently. The Amarillo DIPA still remains my favorite of the ones Iíve tried, being less given to the pine and booze. Iíd really like to see this one down around 8%. Donít really see what benefit pushing 10% abv is doing here.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
A bruiser of a beer with a very very good Citra aroma and a nice light sweetness to work with the hops inclination towards a fruity flavor of juicy citrus and light tropicality. A damn fine beer.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pour is a hazy burnt orange with a thick and frothy white head that leaves very nice lacing. Aroma is full of citra hops. Dank pine, tons of bright citrus and tropical fruit, and sweet caramel. Taste is grapefruit, orange, mango, papaya, and passionfruit. Very citric and tropical with dank pine resin in the finish as well as a sweet caramal malt backbone. Juicy and quenching, with a slightly dry finish. You would have no idea that it is 9.5. Outstanding beer.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from the bomber, nice cloudy orange. Smells fantastic tropical and citrus. Taste is spicy citrus, gritty, tropical and dry at the end, this is one of the best of the Citra beers that have been popping up recently, really done well.
