4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
22 oz. bottle served in a Bellís tulip. Batch # 54.
A: Pours a clear amber color with a light yellow head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly to a thin film and ring that leaves soapy lace down the glass.
S: Big bursts of citrus. Orange flesh, lemon peel, and sticky grapefruit. Some sweet bread malts and a touch of bitter resin on the tail end. This smells ridiculously good.
T: More grapefruit in the taste than the smell. Orange and lemon peel with some alcohol bite to it. There is a definite warming, but the booze and warmth doesnít detract from the overall flavor profile. Some light bready malts with a little bitter green as well.
M: Medium bodied with a sticky and slightly oily mouthfeel, but it is surprising light on the finish with a high drinkability.
O: This is by far the best thing Pipeworks has pumped out. We all know hops are in their wheelhouse, but their use of the Citra hops really shined in this. Juicy, citrusy and pleasantly sweet. Iím sure I speaking for everyone thatís tried when I say this has to be bottled on a consistent base.

Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a nice white head and good lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit and oniony dankness. Taste has that nice dankness with tropical fruit and citrus. Aftertaste has a good amount of grapefruit bitter with some peppery spiciness. Finishes dry with some piney bitterness. Medium bodied with medium/high carbonation. Really good DIPA.

Golden color with a smattering of white bubbly head. Smells of dank hops, chive, tropical, citrus, pine. Taste is more of the same, lots of good dankness, tropical flavors shine through as well. Bitter on the tongue with a tiny bit of tropical fruit to balance.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Smells great, tons of citra character, grapefruit and spice. A nice malt undertone is also present. Looks nice, hazy golden with long lasting white head. Upfront more citrus flavor, finishes with some spice, medium malt and a mild lingering bitterness. Amazingly well balanced, hides itís ABV incredibly well without being too bitter at all. Medium bodied and average carbonation. Not the most complex, but amazingly well balanced.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to 316nuts. Pours a deep reddish amber. This almost looks like an imperial red ale. Itís somewhat cloudy. The head is medium to small and off-white. Bubbles fade to not much after a minute. The aroma has a lot of caramel malt with some solid citrus and tropical fruit hoppiness. Grapefruit, orange, pineapple, mango, white grape, peach, mint. Some spice. Doughy, caramely malt. Mild booze. A little bubblegum. Taste is sweet, but the caramel malt character is restrained. Medium to medium-high bitterness. Good hop flavor. More of the same mix of citrus, tropical and other fruit notes. The mixture of bitter and sweet gets in the way of the hop complexity a bit. It just gets a bit harsh in the finish. Some alcohol heat but itís mostly hidden. Normal carbonation. A bit heavy. Hop oily. Just a little cloying, at least for my taste. This doesnít fit my preferences in the style, but I can appreciate why others like it.

Bottle to glass. Pours a clear amber slightly copper color with a thin light tan head. Aroma is packed full of fleshy fruit, slightly floral, caramel sweetness. Flavor is a perfect mix of fleshy fruit sweetness, light bitterness. Light to medium in body, but very drinkable. Excellent beer.
