Bomber from Fischman’s. Pours a foamy dark black with a brownish cola-colored head. Nice lacing from all the foam. Aroma has a metallic, herbal presence with bakers chocolate and citrusy wood. Taste is of sweet malt, dark bitter chocolate, expresso, an earthy woodiness and some metal. Finishes bittersweet with a touch of an off flavor. There were glimpses of what it was trying to be, but what it is was not there.

Bottle. Pour is black with a thin brown head. Aroma is as one would expect with loads of roasty malt and a ton of pine and resinous hop notes. Hops dominate. Flavor is a bit too much. Hops dominate to the point of getting in the way. Just too much resin and pine here for me. The roasted malt is almost eliminated. I think this can be great, it’s just not yet. More malt or a different hop profile might help.

Batch #57 via Rxeight! Really enjoyed this beer. Such a great smooth hop aroma floral & pine. Nice roasty malts, mild coffee aromatics. Great smoothness in the taste. Overall, very happy with this brew! Cant wait to try more!

Refrigerated brown bomber obtained through trade with joepeesie, poured into a tulip. Pours black with dark brown hightlights with medium light brown head. Little lacing, medium/thick body, medium carbonation, and off green herbal hop aroma. Taste is coffee, dark bitter chocolate, some anise, all right (not great) herbal hops, and bitter hop finish. Not my thing, but not bad for the style.

Bottle from batch #23 shared by a friend. Brownish-black pour with a medium foamy khaki head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is hoppy with some toasted malt notes. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, roasted malt and a bit of dark chocolate. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours dark brown in color with a small khaki head. The aroma has roasted malts, chocolate, dark berries, pine resin and a hint of espresso. The flavor has a great combination of roasted malts and pine resiny hops. Dark chocolates, milk chocolates, berries, espresso and earthy. Moderate bitterness to the finish.

Bomber. Batch 57. Pours a totally black hue with a large brown head. A rich nose of roast and fruity and pine hops. A rich fruity hop mix, bitter chocolates, roast, porter flavors, distinctly a BIPA, sweet pine, very balanced. I even get tobacco and more bitter fruit. Very well done. I slightly prefer Dubhe, but this is excellent.

BOttle. Black as night and a nice thick tan head. Aroma is an awesome blend of chocolate, dark cocoa and an aggressive pine character. Plenty of both. It tastes much like it smells, tons of chocolate and roast, thick piney woody character that balances both the sweet and bitter, medium to full body, just delicious

Bomber courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours black with a big frothy dark mocha head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of thick lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is sweet, fruity and hoppy with roasted malts, caramel, toffee, tropical fruit hard candy, pine, resinous wood, peaches, papaya, star fruit, powdered sugar, salty liquorice, grapefruit juice and dark roast coffee. Taste is tiny sweet and very bitter with roasted malts, ammonium chloride, black pepper, wood, burnt cookies, caramel, oily pine, resin, unripe mango, star fruit, pumpernickel bread, very astringent black tea, grapefruit rinds, dried apricots and orange peal. Mouthfeel is oily bitter, heavy astringent and medium to full bodied. Finish is bitter with grapefruit rinds, roasted malts, ammonium chloride, burnt caramel, pine, wood, dark bread, dried apricots and star fruit. Way too bitter but otherwise nice...
