Bottle. The pour is dark. The aroma is nice and malty, chocolate. The taste has subtle hops, but mostly just a roasty malt imperial stout, but good for one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Thanks, Ed. Oily, super black pour with a fine bubbled, deep mocha foam. Aroma of plentiful dark malt, roasted barley, bitter cocoa beans, ashy hops, a touch of charred bitterness & woodsy notes with just a kiss of dried, dark fruit in the back. Taste is bitter chocolate... weíre talking 100% cacao, super-dark & roasty cocoa notes with a touch of dry coffee beans. Thereís a very faint milkiness that comes around mid-palate but the sweetness aspect is very small compared to the roast of this bad boy. Hint of anise in the finish with a lingering, bittersweet cocoa note on the palate. Lovely, creamy mouth feel. A very nice stout.

Bottle: The aroma consists of chocolate, black licorice, espresso, and a hint of vanilla. It pours a dark brown with just a hint of orange highlights around the edges of the glass. It had a small beige head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with dark chocolate, molasses, and black licorice. He finish has roasted espresso, pine, light citrus hops, and a hint of vanilla. Itís medium-full bodied with light-moderate carbonation and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel.

Great dark heavy body. Very carbonated. Not too keen on the smell. Wet musty aroma. Ooo, but tastes great. Over the top hopped stout is accurate. Dark chocolaty taste with a punch of hops. Yummy.

A- pours a thick cola brown with two fingers of medium tan head with pressence. Good lacing. S- cheap chocolate, tobacco, coffee grounds, pine resin, malts, muddled citrus, vegetables, chalk. Relatively heavy at first, but lightens on the back end while relying more heavily on the hop notes. M- medium oily and lightly sticky body that has a bitter sweet light to medium palate. Decent carbonation. T- chocolate, pepper, coriander, and coffee at first. Malts and roasted grains become more prominent on the mid palate. Hops come next , with pine resin, citrus and some grassy notes. Ending is sustained, dry and bitter with lingering chocolate, chalk, mild grapefruit and some mineral water.

Black pour with thin-to-medium tan head. Aroma is some roasty malt with lots of piney/resiny hops. Those hops arenít as pronounced in the taste, which is more heavily roasted malt. There are strong bitter chocolate notes that linger for a long finish. The palate is more slick than thick. Overall, a very nice, drinkable imperial stout. (I often find that I canít finish a bomber of heavier imperial stouts on my own, but it wasnít difficult for me to down this one on my own.)

Pour is jet black with a caramel colored head with some large bubbles on top. Nose has a light roast, note of chocolate malt, lots of citrusy hop. Taste is much heavier malt up front. Loads of roast to it, faintly chalky, lots of bitter chocolate mid palate. Hops arenít as assertive as they are in the nose but still offer a light citrus that is cool and refreshing. Body is full, softer carbonation and very soft and creamy on the palate. Fairly dry in the finish.
