Bottle (batch 74). Black pour with a large, thick dark tan head. Aroma is light coffee, hop bitterness, chocolate roast, and pine. Taste is bitter coffee with hops, darker fruit notes underneath, roast, and vanilla. Velvety smooth mouthfeel. Damn hoppy imperial stout. Nice.

Pours a rich dark brown black color with a nice mocha java head. Nose is pure coffee and espresso. Taste is deep rich espresso with heavy malt and some chocolate. Texture is like motor oil. Finishes with a deep lingering coffee flavor. Coffee break anyone , Quaff Score 7 / 10

Bottle. Pour is deep black with a small tan head which fades but leaves nice lacing. Aroma of strong ground coffee, some vanilla, and roasted dark malts. Flavor is of bitter dark coffee and milk chocolate with a bitter dry finish. A little bit of booze in the finish, but masked pretty well. Lots of coffee, a little sweetness, and a little bit of hops. Medium bodied.

pour is cola colored with caramel colored head. Nose is heavy coffee roast, light vanilla and a strange mix of olive and chocolate that doesn’t go well together. Taste is a little better. More balanced, stronger chocolate fudge note with balanced coffee and hint of vanilla. Medium body and gentle carbonation with a linger coffee roast.

Pours pitch black with a brown head and strong aroma of coffee and espresso. Taste is strong as well, lots of heavy coffee and espresso with chocolate and roasted malt and a long, warming finish. Excellent brew with a lot of coffee flavor.

Pretty good, actually. Fresh cup of (average quality) coffee per glass blends well into the base. Solid.

Bomber from Evanston 1st shared with ck1 and my other brother. Pours cola-colored with a tan head. Aroma has jalapeno and fudge, then chocolate and espresso and fudge. Tasty! Dry and slightly peppery , but fudgy. Dry and sweet. Pipeworks is always nice! But not as good as the normal abduction.

Batch 66, just opened on 4/20. Black pour slight head. Strong iced coffee taste and aroma touch of maltiness. Thickeer than your average imperial by a touch. Coffee still fresh despite 4-5 month old bottle. This was really good and much better than the standard abduction.

Bomber. A pitch black beer with a large, frothy/creamy, mostly lasting brown head. The aroma is modeartely to heavily malty (roasted grain, coffee, chocolate), lightly to moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), with notes of alcohol, licorice, hint of berries and vanilla. The flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Full body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation, very long finish with moderate to heavy bitterness, moderately alcoholic. I wouldn’t say I’m surprised by the high quality, but all the other Pipeworks bottle scored approximately in the mid 3s or less. This one is pretty nicely balanced, without overbearing coffee, booze or sweetness. I was just in the mood for it. Pity for the price and the difficult availability.
