22oz bottle pours a watery, opaque black with some spitty, white head. Nose of coffee and coffee beans, toast, molasses, malt, light licorice. Flavor is malty, heavy coffee, toast, licorice, brown sugar. Full bodied, sticky finish.

Bottled @ Beer Temple. Dark color, short head. Aroma of loads of grinded coffee backed up with big roasted malt and chocolate, mocha. Not much licorice and laurel, which makes me happy, as I prefer the chocolate and roast based imperial stouts. Medium sweet, medium bitter, coffee makes it a bit more dry. Although it actually has quite a lot of coffee in the nose, maybe a bit too much, the base beer is able to carry that amount. So, the balance of the beer is very nice and the coffee adds depth to the base beer. Great stuff.

The aroma is dry earthy mineral zesty citrus aspirin. The flavour is moderate bitter with a rich liqouruce bitter alcoholic palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate dark chocolate, roasted coffee, faint molasses, and vanilla. It pours a dark brown some faint orange highlights and a small soapy beige head. The flavor starts with moderate sweet chocolate and a hint of fruit. The finish has moderate vanilla and lighter roasted coffee. It’s medium bodied with a mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.

Sampled at esbls. Very dark red brown. Almost no head. A nose of coffee and a bit of ash. First sip is kind of freezer burn. Malta are huge but the coffee has faded some. It is surprisingly bitter. Background fruit.

Appearance: Black color with a nice frothy beige head.
Aroma: Chocolate and coffee.
Palate: Full body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Coffee, licorice, roasted malt and chocolate. Some alcohol.
Overall impression: Powerful stuff. Some alcohol, but mostly warming, not so disturbing.
Personal stats: Bottle @ Geokkjer.

Brown/black pour with foamy tan head and lace. Aroma of large coffee chocolate, and abv. Flavor of sweet chocolate, malty bitter and hop bitter kicker. Smooth full bodied with smooth carbonation. A very nice beer
