Belgian-pour produces a huge, creamy multi-hued tan head that slowly dissipates. The smell is nice, coffee, brownies, roasted malt. Mouthfeel is thick and viscous. Flavor is bittersweet through and through. Ashy coffee and malts, a bit of booze. I like the ashy astringency but the high sugary booze character blending with it can be too much at times. A solid beer htough. I think the cherry oak treatment of this beer was the best so far.

Bottle. Pour is deep black with a small tan head which fades but leaves nice lacing. Aroma of strong ground coffee, some vanilla, and roasted dark malts. Flavor is of bitter dark coffee and milk chocolate with a bitter dry finish. A little bit of booze in the finish, but masked pretty well. Lots of coffee, a little sweetness, and a little bit of hops. Medium bodied.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee, alcohol, and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

@ basunen: lite diskret doft av kaffesump men vilken härlig smak av stark kaffe och vanilj. Len och lång eftersmak. Sofistikerat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle with Vincent and others. Pours black with thin beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, spruce, pine, and earthiness. Fairly sweet and a little hot with a bitter finish. A lot of hop flavor for a stout, balanced by the coffee.

Bottle compliments of Tom shared with a few others. Poured black with light khaki head, not a whole lot of lacing to note. Aromas and flavor of heavy coffee, ample hops, vanilla extract, roasted beans, and bitter dark chocolate. Strong, sticky, and boozey but all in a good way.
