750 ml bottle served in a Pipeworks tulip. Batch #58 A: Pours a hazy grapefruit color with a light pink head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly to a wispy cap and thicker collar. S: Musty on the nose. Cranberry and some wheat notes. A little greek yogurt sourness as well. Mild cheesy notes as it warms. T: Tart cranberry initially on each sip. Creamy wheat. A little lactic sourness and a touch of fruity acidity. The finish is sweet and clean. As it warmed up a touch of blue cheese came out, but it wasnt out of the realm of normal and played nicely with the fruity sourness. M: Light bodied with a medium high carbonation. Great mouthfeel with a little effervescence to it. O: I like Well Read Temptress a tad more, but this was an extremely flavorful and easy drinking Berliner. Pipeworks is locking this style down and Im excited to see what fruit variation is next! Serving type: bottle

Drank alongside a raspberry one. This one has more of the Blue Lady funk and less of the sourness of the raspberry. Has a dry tartness, nice cranberry flavor. A good one.

750 ml bottle. Bright glowing pink pour with a small pinkish-white head. Aroma of cranberries, light lemony tartness, some berry and fruitish notes. Flavor is tart, the cranberries and berliner weisse compliment each other well. Nice, light, tart, with touches of wheat. Effervescent carbonation, great to drink. Really nice beer.

First bottle generously shared with Shawn at his Somerville flat. Many thanks! To bulbous Hill Farmstead tulip wine glass it pours a Gatorade pink with which a white trim ring rested upon. Aromas of funk, peach syrup, chalk dust, limeade, and cranberry sauce. Tastes slightly tart and sour-sweet with notes of liquified wheat grass, fresh strawberries, lemons, lactic acid, candle wax, and candied yams. Vague holiday spices at swallow. Lemony and crisp. Good Berliner, for sure.

Bottle: The aroma consists of funky berries, cheese, must, and faint lemon. It pours a dull pink with a small pinkish-white head that quickly fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of mild cranberry. The finish has light musty/dusty lemon. Its light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle... Pours cloudy and pink with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The bouquet offers loads of lemon and cranberry. Light to medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor is fruity and super-tart with lots of astringent and acidic cranberry. Short, crisp, tangy finish. Fun stuff to drink. Bottle courtesy of BBB63!

Bottle from a trade back in March. Poured at Christmas linner with a standing rib roast. Pours a really nice light pink with a white head. Aroma is cranberry/citrus melding that is really nice but not overpowering. Taste is cranberry on the front with a very light amount of lemon and acedic sour. Light sour with some sparkling wine like elements. Nice but the cranberry is not there as much as I would have liked. Maybe some cinnamon to make this even more "Christmas" like?

Draft at Zwanze Day 12. Pours a bright pink, kinda like watermelon juice. Thin wisp of head. The nose is tart. Some barnyard notes and spoiled milk/lactic acid. Berries. Pretty clean overall. On tasting, light and refreshing with a clean acidity. The cranberry is light overall in the flavor and affords a bit of balancing tannin structure. Not quite as good as Well Read, but still very enjoyable.

Bottled and served in my new shiny Pipework Berliner glassware: Pinkish hued with an initial fizzy head that faded away , pretty much no lace. The aroma has notes of Lactic and Acetic acid, wheat and pils malts, some mild cranberries, and a bit of Isovaleric acid (moldy cheese) and some dirty minerally earthy notes. The taste has a nice moderate sourness, mild fruity notes and a touch of a pithy character. Husky wheat and grainy pils malts layer under the initial sour fruit overtones. Very minimal funk or cheese notes, more like gentle wild flowers with a touch of sea water (okay I am weird). Light and lively mouth feel with a very slight lingering vinegar notes. Overview: I am not much of a fan of Cranberries (thanks to those awful Cranberry Jelly abominations forced upon me during the holidaze) but to be honest I would have liked to see a tad more here. That said, this brew has a nice moderate sour acidity and you can still pick out the pale grain bill under it all. A successful effort, I like this a tad more than the Well Read Temptress
