Hand selected by master Nunzino Pizza of Hop Head Farms, Hüll Melon, Hallertau Blanc, Mandarina Bavaria hops have combined powerful notes of citrus and melon to form the Pipeworks German Hopped Imperial IPA!! These hops pack a sneak attack one-two-three punch that will leave you stunned!! They may be steeped in tradition, but these hops have many surprises up their lederhosen. Other skills include: the ability to lead over a dachshund in a single bound!

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a cloudy orange with frothy white head. The aroma is strong pine and fruity hop. Medium mouthfeel with nice light bitterness, pine, and light malt. Very good.

Pours a clear golden with a full white head. The aroma consists of pineapple, melon, bubblegum, lime, peach, and mango. Its rather enticing. The taste is a bit sweet, but not to much. Some bitterness as well. It shows its malty side, with some heavy caramel and pine, but still lots of melon flavors. There is some easy pineapple and mango found underneath. Lighter yet lingering aftertaste is pine, peach, and melon. Medium bodied, slick in texture, while containing lots of carbonation. This one doesn’t feel that it packs the punch that it actually does. I find that this offers some impressions that you usually don’t find together, or much at all for that matter. It results in a very delicious effort.

Bomber thanks to FullObs. Batch 303/304, about 1 month old. Pours a hazy amber color with a thick bubbly head that fades to a ring and leaves some soapy lacing. Aroma is very interesing. Wet grass and juicy citrus with some biscuits and pineapple. Taste has a nice light sweetness to counter the moderate bitterness. Like the aroma, the taste is very grassy and citrusy but it also has some caramel, pine, pineapple, and bread. Another really good DIPA from Pipeworks.

A: Pours a nice bright golden orange colored body with just over a finger and fluffy. Good lacing. S: Smells strong of fruity pineapple, melon and tangerine. T: Taste follows the smell mango upfront with some citrus, mango, pineapple, and some pine. Some bready notes. Some noticeable alcohol at the end. M: Smooth, bitter, resinous, and dry with some sweetness. O: Really enjoyed this beer. Had the Ninja feel to it and a unique aroma to it. Prosit!

22 oz bottle shared by drewbeerme. Thanks a bunch, dude. Excited for this one. Pours a nice amber orange hue, mellow haziness in the body dissipates a bit, nice glow in this light. Frothy whitish head atop stays as a mellow filmy layer, sticks around and laces ok. Aromas are green, floral and melon. Bigger fruit component, tropical and fruity esters poke in, a bit overwhelming but appealing. Initial offers a big fruit component, bubblegum and tropical fruit, gentle yeastiness and some decent to middling dry/bitter jabs. The hop elements are firmly entrenched, but at the same time the fruity vibes from the esters and Belgian yeast almost make this a bit too much. Some warmth as bready and cereal grainy malts come in. Bubblegum, tropical fruit and decent bitterness as we taper out. A bit warm and bitter as we get going in the finish. The vibrant and potent fruit elements are inviting at first, but quickly become overwhelming, too sweet for my personal tastes. A solid entry in the series that just doesn’t work for me like some of the other entries in the series. Ok, perhaps much more in other’s wheelhouses.

Batch 303/304 bomber into my dogfish IPA glass. Aroma is a very bitter tropical fruit hop. Taste is lots of hops some fruit and floral. The bitterness really covers up the flavors.

Bottle, pours clear golden with white head. Aroma has ripe melon, cantaloup, citrus. Flavors are really fruity, bubblegum, cotton candy, banana, ripe melon/honey dew. Some sharp bitterness and booze. Some fruity esters. Not very clean seems to be from bitterness and alcohol clashing. Not really sure I like these hops in a IIPA.
