Oi, Bugalug! You call that a beer? That’s not a beer. THIS Pipeworks Down Unda is a beer. Bugger, don’t be a drongo, wanker or knob. If you’re going to get full as a goog, pour this into your schooner before your walk about. We’re not muckin around. It’s your shout, make it a beaut! This beer is a choc-a-block with Waimea, Wakatu and Summer hops. If you’re going to pair this grog with tucker, we recommend shrimp on a barbie. Hoo roo!

A thick dark copper that with a ton of cloudy yellow sediment. Thing ring of off white head with moderate lacing. Slight carbonation. Aroma is typical of a ninja: Citrus loaded. A ton of grapefruit, pineapple, orange, grape and caramel. Taste is very bitter. A lot of grapefruit and some thick resin. A long, pungent finish.

Fresh bottle. Pours hazy orange/yellow with tall white head. Aroma is grass, hay, earth, muddled citrus. Taste is a combination of those elements. Some nice malty notes but nothing stands out particularly well. Forgettable.

Bomber with nachos. Pours a dark copper orange pour with a small head. Nose is sweet, hoppy with citrus. Taste is bitter sweet with light citrus, and silky smooth. Finish is sweet, but not over the top, with a moderately long finish. Nice ! Quaff Score 8 / 10

Bottle. Pours a dark orange with a beige head and sweet hoppy, citrusy, grapefruit aroma. Taste is bitter up front with nice hop notes and sweet citrus, grapefruit, caramel, and line leading to a bitter, dry finish. Another great one in the ninja series

Sampled at DLD 2014. It poured a clear orange color with a small white head. The aroma was of tropical fruits, like mango and bright juicy hops. The taste was juicy with lots of tropical fruit notes, a very strong booze backend. It was medium bodied with a slick texture and average carbonation.

Sampled at dld eve. Hazed golden. An off white ring. Oily hops are kind of hard to describe. They marginally work. Kind of a confusing beer. Spices and cat urine. But it is not offensive.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma of floral and resinous and piney hops, caramel and pale malts, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not bad at all but not the best for style.
