Bottle 22fl.oz.

Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, spicy, mint. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chili, sweet chili, mint, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120616]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry finish.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is spiced and floral. Dark roasted malty and light spiced. Chili bite. Spiced and light herbal. Spiced and dry finish.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Theis. Pours a cloudy opaque dark brown with a smallish beige head. Sweet cocoa and chili dominate the aroma. Medium body, again very sweet cocoa nibs, sweet candy-like roast and then again quite a chili bite. Lowish carbonation and no real hoppiness. 160612

Bottle at Papsø. Pitch black coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of coffee and pepper. Roasted flavour of pepper with notes of licorice. Roasted and peppery finish.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty spicy milk chocolate aroma. Roasted malty spicy chocolate and vanilla flavor with hints of chili. Has a roasted malty spicy chili and chocolate finish.

Tasting at Papsø’s, 6% ABV
The color is very dark, almost black; it has a small brownish head. The aroma is pungent, dust and perfume, ashes, fusels. The roasted malt and chocolate flavor is decent, but quickly spoiled by a perfumy combination (probably the result of the cinnamon), while the chili touch is moderate; low bitterness.
I would like to see this same chili presence is some better beer; this one is messy.

Bottle at Papsø’s. Black - offwhite head. Roasted, cacao, light chili, pleasant chili bite, light somkey, vegetable notes, dry toasted, dusty powdery notes, nice malty, light coffee.

dark brown, small white head. spicy aroma, licorice, peppers. flavor is peppery, chilies, nice burn, roasted malty base, quite hot, but not too much.

Bottled. Dark Brown coloured. Dense light Brown head. Aroma of Cocoa, roast, sweetness, herbs, flowers. Flavour of roast, flowers, Spice sweetness, caramel, light coffee. Medium to full bodied. Roasted bitter end.
