COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
End of Days is our tribute to the coming of the end... of the Maya calendar! We’ve aged this milk stout with cacao nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, and ancho chilies. The result is a rich chocolaty stout, with just a hint of spice. We hope you’ll enjoy this beer before the End of Days.

Batch #002 was bottled on Feb 25th 2012 (no wax)

Dark brown with little to no head. Aroma is full of chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon. Didn’t really detect the chillies. The texture if very light and thin. Not heavy. Taste is full of chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and only a very slight taste of chillies at the end. Not a very intense spice at all. Pretty good, i’d buy it again.

22 oz. bottle served in a mini taster snifter. Bottled February 25, 2012. A: Pours a black color with brown edges. A thin off white head forms on the pour and dissipates to a thin ring. S: Smells of strong cinnamon, light vanilla, some lactose sugar and some pale malts. T: More emphasis on the cinnamon and the ancho chilis finally come out with a nice warming finish. M: Super thin, almost bordering on watery. There is a slight pepper heat on the finish. O: I had this on tap at Stout Fest and it was fuller bodied and more flavorful. I’m not sure if there some variation between the bottle and the kegs they have, but seek it out on tap if you can. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-25-2012

22oz bottle from West Lakeview a while back. Pours a deep, dark, brown color with with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, a little ancho. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, roasty, chocolate, vanilla, maybe a little cinnamon, with a spicy, ancho finish that tickles the back of the throat. There’s a lot going on in this beer. Almost too much I think. But if you like chilie stouts, it’s worth a try.
