Bottle. Pours a deep dark black with a large dense mocha head. Roast on the nose, chocolate, cocoa. On the thin side of medium, body a little lacking what I would have expected given the pour and the 8% ABV, but still solid enough. Spicy chile comes through right away, gorgeous. The heat is noticeable but never invasive or distracting, remarkably well balanced. Cocoa, a good amount of roast. The combination of chocolate and chili is great. A little lingering heat and chocolate on the finish. Very well done.

Dark sepia, thin cream ring, heavy particulates. Newspaper factory nose, light bubble gum and anise, cocoa. Chocolate front palate with light oat mid, really dusty. Creamy palate. More balance in the end but not beginning?

Sample from bottle at Nieuwjaarsborrel 2014, thanks for sharing MrHangover! Pours dark brown to black with a medium, quickly disappearing, off-white head. Aroma is bourbon, bit boozy, chocolate and malts. Taste has chocolate, a bit of roast, dark chocolate, booze and a nice and subtle chili note. Over medium body, bit fizzy carbo. Nice one.

Bottle shared at Nieuwjaarsborrel thanks to Mrhangover. Pours dark brown with a minimal tan head. Aroma of alcohol, chocolate, fudge, caramel and cinnamon. Flavour is heavy sweet. Really boozy feeling with the chillis coming out in the palate and leaving a warming finish. Medium to full bodied with light carbonation.
