Pipeworks Flower Child is the groovy, free-spirited sister to the previous generations of berliner beauties. Naked as the day she was born, this free loving girl is pure and unadultered. Take a taste and she’ll drop a tantalizingly tart acidity beside a refreshing wheat base. Simple yet so complex, this righteous girl promises a peak experience. Peace, love and Berliner Weisse. Can you dig it?

Bottle shared by the guys. Thanks! Pours a well-hazed pale straw with a white head that fades. Nose is clean and crisp. Lactic acid, faint wheat notes and sour. Could use a touch more graininess in the nose. On tasting, refreshingly tart and very clean. I think Gerrit’s right about the fruit being the culprit on some of the issues with the fruited versions. Moderately high acidity but the body is a bit too light overall. Good carbonation. Could use a bit more of the crackery grainy notes but really nice overall.

Bomber, courtesy of Archer Liquours , Chicao, pours an unfiltered light grapefruit color with no head. Nose is sour and citrusy and has a somewhat rank nose. Taste is sweet and fruity, balanced with sourness. Finish is citrusy and bitter, not my favorite style but drinkable. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours a hazy light pale yellow while unfiltered with a white head and aroma of wheat fruit. Taste is light, of wheat, fruit and tart notes with hops and malt leading to a slight sour finish. Light and nice for the style

Slightly hazy pour then VERY hazy / chunky pour in the last 1/5 of the 750 mL bottle. I mean big chunks. Never seen giant white chunks in beer before. Taste and nose is really nice, but god damn - the chunks! Soft citrus, nice tartness.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle batch #99 poured into a trappist glass. Pours hazy pale golden with small white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is off vegetable tartness, light body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is acidic tartness, wheat base, and off flavors. The offness is a big negative.

pours hazy almost cloudy pale yellow with a very small white cap, little retention, some lacing. cheese, lactic acid, citrus, some sulfur, 7-up-like ’’fruitiness’’, herbal-grassiness. low carbonation, light body - oily, herbal-grassy-floral yet gently tart lactic-citric finish. enjoyed.

Bottle. Hazy yellow pour. Light aroma, white wine, honey, light cheesy notes. Quite punchy powerful honey malt sweetness, light lactic sourness, very tart. Palate is light, low carb, not particularly dry. Decent.

Pours a really pale "white" and cloudy. Aroma is vegetal a little (?!) but also contains nice vinous and honey-ish notes. Taste is sour, really sour but finishes clean. Lemonade impressions throughout. Body is really light and it feels watery, a bit of a letdown. Other than that it was fun but a bit "one note".

Bottle (750 ml). Extra from Mark, thanks! Hazy pale yellow with a small persistent white head and light lacing. Aroma is of wheat, honey, cheesy/yogurt notes and floral presence. Taste is moderately sweet with honey, yogurt, acidity from wheat and floral notes. Light body, almost watery. Low carbonation. Good, gently tart, cheesy, refreshing and drinkable Berliner Weisse. Interesting "honey" touch.

(750ml bottle) Pours a hazy pale yellow body with a spare white head. Aroma of cheesy popcorn, horse blanket, and earth. Flavor of sulfur, stale burnt popcorn, leather, and cardboard. Image a Christmas popcorn tin that has sat for months and then for some reason you decide to heat that popcorn up in the microwave until it smolders and eat it. This beer.
