65cl bottle, served in Duvel glass. Pitch black colour with nice tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, brown sugar, coffee and...wood, although it is not barrel aged. The taste is mostly dark chocolate and roasted malts. The coffee-like flavour also kicks hard after a few minutes. Even sometimes gives the impression that has been aged in oak barrels, so it is the same perception I’ve had before drinking. Mouthfeel is creamy, as usual in milk stouts. Pronounced bitterness and toasty notes. Carbonation is perfect. Very good imperial Stout, but vanilla seems absent.

jbruner (3924) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - OCT 3, 2015
Pours a thick black from the bottle with a thin ring of tan brown head that leaves light lace. Aroma is big on the coffee, but age has given it a big soy earth note with faint chocolate behind. Tastes is more toward the chocolate and earth with minimal coffee and roast. Soft carbonation, thick mouth, good imperial stout, but nothing I’d search out again.

Pours dark brown with a pretty tan head and a chocolate aroma. There is a rich sweet chocolate flavor that stays on the palate and a carbonated finish.
