A really great offering from the Pipeworks guys. Thick oily viscosity, intense bitter cocoa nib flavor with a vanilla finish. A little boozey but not overwhelming, very pleasant and smooth. A mix between a sipper and a slurper. Solid.

Had this one a few times, dont know why I never rated. This is a very good milk stout. Medium to heavy mouthfeel, nice blend of coffee, chocolate and just the right touch of vanilla. Much better than their other attempt at a milk stout.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee aroma. Roasted malty coffee and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee and chocolate finish.

17-MAY-2013, bottle @Ølbutikken with Ulkløbben. Dark, dark brown with low tan head. Coffee aroma, milky roast, cocoa powder. Taste the same with sweet, milky cocoa dominating. Above average body and soft carbonation. Sweet roasted finish. Fine but far too expensive.

Bomber. A black body topped by a small, frothy, creamy, mostly diminishing, light brown head. The aroma is heavily malty (very strong coffee, roasted grain, chocolate), with notes of lactose, vanilla, lighter notes of alcohol and dark fruits. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, average length finish with almost moderate bitterness, lightly to moderately alcoholic. It has its points of strength in the strong and pleasant coffee aroma and in a nice, even though collapsing, creamy head. It lacks a bit of character in the mouthfeel, which is lightly astringent and undercarbonated (but that’s probably only my liking). In the end a nice stuff.

Bomber bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours hazy brownish black with a small fizzy and frothy dark mocha head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace. Smell is sweet, malty and tiny spicy with toasted malts, milk chocolate, sweet liquorice candy, vanilla beans, sweet dark bread, sweetened dark roast coffee, roasted cereal, burnt cookies, wood and hints of moist soil. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter, tiny acetic and malty with roasted malts, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, milk duds, vanilla beans, dark bread, charred wood, moist soil and hints of pine needles and orange zest. Mouthfeel is round, tiny watery, soft and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and tiny acetic with roasted malts, sweetened coffee, bitter chocolate, vanilla beans, dark bread, charred wood and hints of pine needles. Balanced and pretty nice…

Bottle. Dark brown pour. Roasted malt aromas. Bitter roasted malts with just a hint of black coffee. Very bland and lifeless.
