Had this in september, batch 26. Was not impressed. Body was very thin, chocolate seemed forced and artificial. This dog has no bark, no bite, but a lot of fleas.

Bottle. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy chocolate coffee aroma. Medium to heavy chocolate sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a good sweet beer.

22oz bottle, batch #101. Shared by tmoney99. Totally hazy dark brown color. No head, no lace. Big chocolate nose. Light earthy hop. Good bittersweet taste. Hint of dark fruit. Bigger body. Smooth crisp light carbonation. Good more clean finish texture-wise, but long chocolatey aftertaste. Love the chocolate in this. Light chewiness. Good chocolate brown ale. Satisfying amount of chocolate, without being over-sweet.

22 oz bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a slightly murky cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma has roasted malts, cocoa powder and s noticeable nutty character. The flavor has roasted malts, chocolate, lactose, earthy, smooth mouth feel, but overall this is a bit soft.

One of the oddest beers but I love it. Lots of chocolate with mild bitter and chili pepper. Dark tan color with chunky bits. Short finish.

Purchased at West Lakeview Liquors in Chicago, IL; enjoyed after a night of drinking bombs at a crappy bar with great friends. Appearance is pitch black with a thin white rim. Aroma of chocolate, spice, cacao, smells complex. Taste is nice and complex, good bitterness with chocolate and lactose notes. Another strong beer from this growing Chicago brewery.

Bomber to snifter (thanks Tmoney99). Looks solid; a murky dark brown with thin light beige lacing. Smells of dark malt with notes of chocolate, roast, and nuttiness. Tastes like it smells, only more chocolatey, with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Pretty good beer.

Bomber from a sweet trade. My kind of beer, a thick oily pour with medium, elegant head and carbonation. Milk chocolate nose along with confectioner’s sugar, vanilla, mild spiciness. Thick but not overly sludgy body, some chalk in the finish. Slightly more boozy in the taste than I expected, but still found it to be well balanced for such a rich beer.

Bottle from batch #26 shared by a friend. The beer pours an inky black color with a medium beige head that recedes slowly. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of chocolate, malt and vanilla. Medium-bodied with flavors of sweet chocolate, vanilla and roasted malt. The finish is sweet with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Above average overall.
