Thanks Ryan. Lots of smoke. Touch of booze actually more like scotch than bourbon. Palate is a bit thin.

Bottle at home. Thx Eric! Pours black with a medium beige head. The aroma is light smoke, fruit, roasted malts and sweet whisky. The flavor has sweet smoked notes mixed with fruity and vanilla notes. A very unique beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle. From notes. Pours a dark brown, near black, with a tan head. Aroma of smoke, some chocolate, some mild sweetness. Flavor is mostly smoke, with a corresponding backing of sweet malt. Full bodied. This is. Very. Smokey. Interesting, but more smoke than I, a lover a smoked beers, have ever experienced. Fair enough.

651mL red wax pours a cloudy deep red looking maroon. Weaker tan head. Excellent smoked sausage and bacon nose. Mild chamomile and honeysuckle. Taste is quite smokey, nice lemon, flowers, mild hoppiness and dark cherry. Pretty good overall. Drinkable- thinner body than expected given SRM.

22oz bottle shared by Noodleuser: pours a mostly opaque dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Has a big smoky and sweet dark malty nose with some complex whiskey notes. Starts with good fullness and sweet toasty dark caramel malts with a touch of espresso and oaky smoke before aslightly drier bittersweet finish. True to style, complex and enjoyable.

Bottle courtesy of noodleuser, thanks! Completely black color, small beige head. Aroma of smouldering cocoa bars and burning coffee beans. Taste is campfire, bacon, licorice. Delicious.

Bomber (from backlog). Near black pour with minimal head. Lots of roasted malts and even more smoke. I wish I could have gotten more flavor from the barrel and less smoke.

Thanks to tooch for this bottle. Pretty good lightly smoked porter with subtle oak characteristics. Kept from being great by a strange meatyness that I got out of it. Almost a touch salty?

Bottle: Poured a dark black color ale with a medium size foamy head with light retention and some light lacing. Aroma of smoky malt with light rye notes and some warming alcohol is quite nice. Taste is a great mix between some smoked malt with dry rye whisky notes which kind of help ‘’rounding the corners’’ of this beer with light roasted malt notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Quite a lot of complexity in this one with some nice balance between the barrel-aging and the smoked malt notes.
