COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Last Kiss is a rich and seductive ale brewed in the Scottish Wee Heavy Style. Hints of vanilla and fenugreek compliment a lucious and complex malt profile. Fermented near lager temperature, subtl spice and rich malt notes make this a perfect ale to enjoy with a loved one next to the fireplace. End a cold winter night with one Last Kiss.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of kanin1805. Pours a deep reddish amber with a slight haze and a small beige head. Nose has thick molasses, juicy nuts and caramel. Very rich body, a massive maltiness, thick cane sugar but never cloying as such. A touch of spices, but again not overdone. Some warming alcohol. No real traces of smoke. A rich and wholesome beer! 030413

Sort of an darker yellow waxed top bottle and served in my Pipeworks snifter: Pours a medium to deep brown hue with a bit of reddish highlight topped by a fading fizzy head which produced minimal lace. The aroma has notes of heavy caramel, toffee, special roast, midnight wheat and some bready malt vapours along with a dash of scotch like iodine and some earthy and spicy hops. Quite yeasty as well with a dollop of mineral water and some plummy dark fruit esters.

The taste is malt forward and moderately earthy. Rich dark fruit twang and a bit of hop spice before a moderately boozy finish. Touch of English pipe tobacco, dark wheat and faint smoke as well. The mouth feel is soft and oily but does finish somewhat drier than expected. Low carbonation does impact enjoyability, would like to see just a tad more please... a tad more. Overall a nice brew perfect for the cooler fall and colder winter months. Glad I got another bottle for laying down till holiday time.
