3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
[My bottle (660ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o Glouglouburp] Pours a hazy orange-copper with average size long-lasting frothy white head. Nice lacing on the glass. Fruity hoppy aroma, with citrus and tropical fruit, and some caramel malt in the back. Juicy fruity hoppy flavour along with a bit of alcohol and a fairly big bitter finish. Alcohol is there but fairly well hidden for the abv. Average to medium bodied. Not as god as expected but quite good nonetheless.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours hazy gold with white head. Aroma is citrus. Perfectly balanced, nice crisp medium caramel malt body. Sweet citrus on the hop side, not all that bitter just a bit of pine. Probably one of the most drinkable 9% IPA’s I have have. Good stuff.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Pours a hazy golden with a large, dense and creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of herbal. melon, tropical hops, toasted malt and a bit of doughiness. The taste is bitter tropical, earthy, resin, herbal, citrus hops, caramel and a bit of a salty note. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
From the bomber (great sample size) this pours a clear golden amber body with a modest yet sustained off-white head. The aroma is seriously hoppy, resinous along with some zest and grapefruit. The malt does show itself in the flavor, tasting grainy and lightly sweet. Then the hop tastes storm in bringing along a sharp piny, zesty, earthy bitterness that lasts a long, long time into the finish. Very nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2015 Bottle (bottled two months ago). Pours a golden amber color. Aroma is restrained; melon, mango, malt. A light melon/mango taste; the bitterness is balanced exceptionally well with the malt; wouldn’t characterize it as a particularly bitter beer at all. Exceptionally well balanced. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Need to try this fresh on tap...
RATING REVISED 1/26/15: Two week old bottle. Much more aroma here, as one would expect: citrus and pine, dank, melon is still there, malt is much more in the background. Flavor is similar, though more of a pronounced bitterness with less malt. This is better, but still not something I would seek out in a bottle.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a lighter hue than the centennial ninja. Light tan head, leaves a soapy residue. Pretty good pine and resin nose. Light sweetness upfront turns to stronger bitterness. Pine, resin, citrus fruit. Medium body with moderate boost. Pretty decent DIPA.

Bottle, shared with phantomhennes and TvM. Very hazy yellow gold, frothy white head that leaves sheets of lace. Bright, juicy hop aroma and flavour, passionfruit, guava, lime; pale biscuit malts, long bitter finish. Outstanding.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[6952-20141204] 1pt6floz bottle. Orange wood aroma. Slightly hazy, orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter orange and wood flavour. Full bitter body. Not very double-like but I quite like it as is. (8/4/8/4/16) 4.0

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft pour into snifter. An outstanding DIPA. Juicy, tropical hoppy notes dominate here, with ripe mango and papaya coming through amongst a sweet, almost honeyed feel. A hophead’s delight. Dangerously drinkable at 9%.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2014 Bottle: Batch 533/534. Thanks, Ed. Cloudy golden-amber with a soapy white head that fades quickly to a skimpy film & semi-foamy collar. Aroma of pungently sweet orange, grapefruit, mango, & tropical fruit with sweet undercurrents of light caramel malts, honey, & under-attenuated crystal malt sugars. Notes of pine cones, herbal leaves, & light green onion. Flavor is pretty sweet as well with a hefty malt backbone; sweet crystal malts lend a honey coating to the hoppy pines & ashy herbal tones. Lightly floral with a bit of white pepper covered grapefruit rind & tangerine peel. Semi-bitter herbal finish with a slightly sticky malt sugar sweetness that lingers right alongside it. Good stuff, just maybe a tad sweeter than I prefer my DIPAs.
