22, Pours a hazy burnished medium amber with lots of nucleation columns and a dense, creamy tan head that sticks around. Tons of sheeting lace. Big malt bomb. Lightly spicy nose, showing orange peel, grapefruit pith, and a little bit of celery-ish peppery quality. A little booze showing as well. Creamy thick body, soft carb. Roasty caramel and oranges on the mid palate, plus grapefruit and a bit of celery. Long dry shampoo-y finish.

Batch 91 Pours a pale/hazy deep golden pour with an orange hue, thin off white soapy head with a light sticky lacing ... aroma is very grapefruity, citrusy with a nice piney and sharp hoppy bite ... taste is pure grapefruity citrusy goodness with a nice piney punch and a nice caramel malt backbone ... resiny and delicious just a hint sugary .... mouthfeel is tingly and bitter through and through .... finish is dry and has a long lingering hop bite ... this was the latest batch and just under two months old, but its very well put together and the abv is hidden well

Bottle (batch 87) from Neal - thanks! Pours a hazy, glowing golden orange with a slick of white foam. Aroma is sharp pine with balanced hop bitterness and complimentary citrus over a very clean and dry malt backbone. Taste is clean, resinous pine and bitterness with citrus notes and a slight touch of sweeter malt before more bitterness and pine into the finish. Clean, slightly coating mouthfeel. I know this batch is closing in on the two month mark since bottling but this beer is drinking really good and I appreciate the sub-9% ABV. Great beer!

Batch 87 - Aroma is dominated by hops with some nice grapefruit, citrus and light hop resin. Secondary tropical fruit notes are also present but much fainter. Light malt aroma and light alcohol note also present. Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange with an inch tall, pillowy white head that slowly but steadily recedes. Flavor is similar to the aroma with citrus hops dominating, but this time the citrus is less grapefruit and more orange. Mid palate you get some malt character with some light cracker and a bit of an odd nuttiness; it is not off putting, just unexpected. some light tropical fruit notes and quite a bit of resin in the finish. a bit of alcohol spice to the finish. Bitterness is moderately strong but not astringent. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and moderate alcohol warmth. Nice dry finish, only slightly sticky. Overall this is a pretty good DIPA. Nice, light malt character angry finish. The hops aren't too fruity an work well with the malt. I'm not sure where the nuttiness in the malt is coming from but it was a little odd at first. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
