Smells awesomely sweet and malty with lots of citrus aroma. Straw-orange color and pours with a very lively, foamy head. Finishes with a lingering bitterness from the heavy hopping. Flavors of orange, lemon, pine, citra hops, and black pepper. If you love sweet hoppy beers, you’ll love this.

From a 50 cl can at Uncle Babe’s in Ghent, shared with Ster. Frothy, thick, egg-white, moussy head, cloudy straw blonde colour with peachy hue. Fragrant New World hops bouquet of mushy mango, passion fruit, kiwi, yellow grapefruit, white bread, strawberry, pine resin, wormwood, lime blossom. Soft fruity onset, mango, lychee and green banana hints, sourish plum or kiwi accent, pineapple touch, medium carbo, ’fluffy’ mouthfeel, sweetish malts supporting a mile-long, resinous, spicy, very citrusy and lightly piney hop bitterness, utterly aromatic and at the same time halting all malt and fruit sweetness; alcohol remains fairly well hidden. Very tasty DIPA, worth the hype.

16 oz can, poured. Huge thanks to Tcon for the can. This is one of those beers that I didn’t think I would run into without putting in a serious effort to do so. Canning date was cut off by the can shape, but I know it’s fresh. Canned on the 6th of one of the months this year. Hop heavy aroma, and inviting for sure. Flavor is super juicy, tangerine, super citrus, almost tart, with a juicy, massive citrus finish. This is what an imperial IPA should be. Could drink this all day, which is easy to say after just one. Amazing.

Aroma is a mix of strong piney hops, fruit/citrus and spicy. The flavor is a mix of grapefruit, malts, spices and slight sourness/bitterness in the finish.

Beautiful 50cl can. Batch 3/15/16. Beer is hazy orange with huge, white head. First aroma strike from can is fresh freaking hops. Like when you open a fresh bag of US hops. Quite overwhelming hops have notes of typical tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, watermelon, passion fruit, pomelo plus some resin. On the malt side the aroma is cupcake and some cheese cake but those are completely dominated by hop notes. The beer is creamy, medium thick body with very delicate carbonation. Taste is off balance with huge bitter hop bite that lasts a while. Still it has a juicy malt background with medium sweetness. The hop bite is resinous and if yo bit through a pomelo peel. There is some little alcohol but way back. The resinous/peel/alcohol bitterness is a bit tiring after a while. Extra points for an amazing hop aroma and great design.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie, consumed at Truck Festival, Steventon, Oxon, Saturday 16th July 2016 Pours hazy amber with a huge foamy white head. Bitter from the off, very hoppy nose. Sweet but not the malty cloying effort that a lot of big American IPA & DIPAs often turn out like. Quite juicy and fruity. Quite a dry finish. Can at Himmeriget, Copenhagen. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is big citrus toothpaste hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp refreshing woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Never heard of it, so this one was a nice surprise. Not too bitter, good citrus fruity, a bit grassy and some pines. Nice fruity brew for sure.

16oz can. Quite citrusy aroma. Cloudy gold color with nice white head that slowly fades. Nice lacing. Very nice bitterness, citrus, clean. Med to full bodied. Overall, a very tasty DIPA that does not taste as strong as it is.
