4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Was expecting a bit more orange in this but was plesently surprised with what they did here. The orange is not overpowering and it makes for one hell of a delicious imp stout. Lots of chocolate in the nose and taste and the orange is there as a perfect accompaniment. Well done pipeworks.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours thick dark coffee brown black with a cocoa beige head. The aroma is the best part, sweet milk chocolate candy bar, and cocoa powder, so smooth in the nose. The flavor brings some orange and chocolate blended so well with a bit of a bitter chocolate and zesty orange ending blended well on the tongue. This is a delicious orange chocolate bar, like Lindt but less orange.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black imperial abduction pour. Taste has chocolate and orange. Quite a bit of sweetness. Decent stuff, orange and chocolate work better than i thought but still a little weird.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz. bottle, pours a dark reddish black with a small beige / tan head. Aroma brings out a little orange, cocoa, and more orange. Flavour brings out a lot of oranges - orange juice, orange zest - and cocoa. This is like a chocolate orange desert, but not in an elegant way. Not the worst beer, but a bit harsh. Not very well-refined. Decent, but off.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Itís black with some light tan foam sheet with some breaks. Smells of lots a cocoa, coffee, a little coffee, and as it warms the orange zest comes through a bit. Flavor is leather, robust bittersweet coffee and quite a bit of cola flavors. Donít really care for the flavor. really dry beer with lighter than usual body and moderate carb. Iím none too impressed with this particular beer; flavor is too much cola character, body too thin and the nose is a little lackluster.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Darkness Day. . Pour is dark, looks fairly thin. Aroma is dark chocolate, somewhat sweet. Flavor is chocolate, somewhat bitter at that. Orange comes in late and adds a new layer of complexity.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by HighWine. Pours a jet black with minimal head. Nose is very fruity and full of orange. Flavor is a subtle orange with a chocolate, slight coffee base. Not as roasty as many imperial stouts, but works well with the fruit. Any more roast would clash with the orange. Subtle alcohol warming. A great balance of fruit and beer without any artificial sugary flavors. Thanks for the share!
