3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle. Hazed yellow pour with a nice white head. Aroma of pineapple and lime juice, medium sweet golden malt. Flavor is sweet, lots of pineapple, touches of acidity from the lime, some sweet malt and alcohol. Body is thin, mild booziness. Finishes sweet and boozy.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy gold color with a single finger head. Aroma of pineapple and grain. Light mouth. Pineapple and lime taste with a lingering sweetness. Slightly funky barnyard action in there too. Some farmhouse funk. Alcohol is hidden well.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with Yanick. Pours cloudy gold with white head. Nose and taste of grassy hops, tropical fruit, pineapple, lime and light malt. Lime is a little more pronounced than the pineapple. Medium body.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Picked up a bomber @ binny’s while in chicago visiting my sister. I just loved the label. Turns out the beer is really good too. The pineapple flavor is sort of subdued and more implied. So it wasn’t as overpowering sweet as I thought it might. Pretty fun tasting new stuff in a new town.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750mL bottle. Pours a hazy, straw color. Nose is a combination of Belgian clovey-banana notes, and that pissy/grassy German hoppy-metallic aroma common in a lot of import lagers. Mouth is medium bodied and creamy, semisweet and chock full of yeast fruitiness, lime and pineapple creeping up midrange towards the top of the palate, then a pleasant bready finish with very mild bitterness. Odd beer overall, but decent. The ABV incidentally is very well hidden.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft pour on tap at Goose Island’s Belgian Fest 2013. I had no idea the base beer was a Belgian style. Milky pale yellow color. Aroma super tropical fruit with a beer base. Generally a lightly sweet pineapple juice with accompanying pineapple like hops popping out. I like it, fun stuff and not artificial or overly sweet.

Drunks like fruit juice. The lime and pineapple create a delicious blend of tropical fruit flavor.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft pour on tap at Clybourn’s Belgian Fest 2013 (Chicago, IL). Pours a well hazed golden yellow hue, some bright glow but well hazed. A bright white frothy head atop stays as a good layer, laces ok. Mellow ring laces ok. Aromas are pineapple juice, touches of citrus and lime. Some dough, cereal grains, mellow yeastiness and fruity ester. A touch sticky but a really lively fruit presence. Initial is medium bodied, firmer tart pineapple juice meets some lime, touches of citrus, bread and some dough. Gentle yeast, some mellow warmth. Middle is a touch sweeter, dough and gentle honeycrisp, sustained yeast and pineapple fruit. A touch sticky. Backend is a bit tart, citrus and juicy pineapple. Bread, a bit more clean and dry, mellow warmth, touches of earth. Pretty nice. Impressive for it’s size of ABV. Nice work, guys. Fruity life.
