COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Continuing our theme of Saisons brewed with peppercorns, Poivre du Sichuan is brewed with Szechuan peppercorns, coriander, pink peppercorns, ginger and ornage peal. Fermented using a French Saison yeast, the result is a blend of citrus and floral notes with a unique kick from the Szechuan peppercorns. We hope you’ll enjoy this unique take on a traditional beer. 22 oz. bottle shared with the local group (Jan 17, 2013). Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a big fluffy white head. The aroma has some orange citrus with peel, pink peppercorn spice, herbal notes, a splash of ginger and pale malts. The flavor is very peppery highlighting the pink peppercorn, light fruity, some orange citrus, herbal, mild funk, grass, lightly toasted malts, and a hint of ginger. Interesting, but kind of all over the place.

65cl bottle @Lúpulo Feroz, Oviedo. Coriander, ginger, spicy aromas. Pours cloudy golden, with nice white head, some presistance, high to medium body, high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is so spicy, overwhelming ginger, some coriander, subtle hot notes. Tremendously unbalanced, some hot aftertaste, unpleasant.

from Erzbierschof - hazy pale orange beer with a persistent little head; estery aroma, citrusy and peppery, highly carbonated and with a solid malt backbone; pretty dry, salty, peppery and gently bitter; long spicy and fruity finish with a lingering sharpness - original and very interesting

650ml bottle [batch 77]. Hazy amber colour with very huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Floral hoppy and minimally spicy aroma, a touch of wild yeast, some citrus. Taste is floral hopy, spicy, orange zest, a peppery touch. Very nice.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a dusty, murky orange-yellow with a frothy white layer of foam. Smells earthy, sweet, peppery, spicy. It tasted thoroughly unfiltered and yeasty. The peppercorns worked nicely with the traditional saison aspects. Palate was medium bodied and fizzy. This is a good mealtime beverage.

22 ounce bomber poured a nice orangish copper color with aromas of peppercorns, yeast, light ginger, and some citrus. Flavors follow suit with a light spicy yeast in the back end.
