Sampled at DLD 2013. It poured a hazy pale yellow with a white head. The aroma was of light spice with sweet grain and a hint of light red fruits. The taste was of sweet grains, light spice, peppercorn and light fruits with Belgian yeast and slightly bitter grass. Very good.

Batch 151. Aroma is a very zesty lemony farmhouse. Touch or Belgian yeast. Taste starts golden Belgian single and finishes with a lemon and pepper burst. Lots of carbonation.

Bottle - Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head. Nose is white pepper, dry dusty yeast, lemongrass and real dry malt. Taste is the same. Pepper isn’t overly spicy, but it makes it a bit angular. Super dry, with the yeast peeking its head out. Long, spicy, dry finish. Thinnish body with fluffy carbonation. A little too dry for my tastes.

651mL thanks to noodleuser. Pours a full haze light peach. Thick white foam. Big lace. Estery and doughy nose with fresh lemon and mild saison rusticness. French saison yeast? Taste is much too sweet, boozy, white alcohol. A bit of a rough version of Saison DuPont. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ THE Sour and Saison Tasting. Thanks to Ken for bringing this ! The pour’s deep golden amber with a tiny head. The nose is peppery hop, floral countryside. Notes of dried grass and wood, light sweet raspberry. The taste is much the same - quite peppery with notes of raspberry and wood. Lightly herbal and grassy. The body’s light, smooth. Overall, I found this to be a strange collection of flavors. Too peppery to be legitimately enjoyable. OK.

On tap at Mash Tun Festival 2013. Hazy golden with a white head. Nose is of pepper spice, flowers, pale malts, and earth. Flavor is a bit spicy as well with notes of wood, herbal hops, grass, earth, and peppercorn. A pepper saison? No thanks.

Bottle thanks to Ken at THE sours & saisons tasting (part 1). It pours cloudy golden-amber, with a massive white head. The nose is rather spicy, lots of freshly cracked black pepper, underlying sweetness, earth and floral notes. The taste is rather dry, peppercorn, creamy, dough, sugary sweetness and weird tanginess, with a dry, peppery finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Can’t say I like pepper in my beer. I really didn’t enjoy this at all. Challenging to drink.....
