Pour is dark brown, almost black with a bubbly light brown head. Nose is heavy raspberry purée. A hint of roasted malt and chocolate but not much else and dominated by raspberries. Taste has a bit more malt, still loads of raspberry. Hint of chocolate, and roasted ashy malt. Body is creamy, light carbonation and medium body. Sweet towards the back and lingers through the finish.

Sample from Baltimore, uhh bottle .. . Pours a mild brown space .. . Mild raspberry, chocolate, shirts, and a bit of jam. .. The mouth feel is a bit dim and the finish is light .. . Decent but Was hoping for more .. . . A teddy bear is just a regular bear that wears lingerie in private.

Sample from batch #117 at Kurtkeller 004: Pipeworks-tastic 01 on 01/18/2014. Pours a dark cola color with a medium foamy tan head that dissipates gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries, chocolate and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of tart raspberry, chocolate malt and slight coffee. The finish is malty and fruity with a slightly sour raspberry aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

750 ml bottle. We did a side by side- by side with the other variants of the stout. ok it looks like it should. The nose indeed raspberry and chocolate. Something that I don’t like about these beers is they take a mediocre stout and add fruit puree. The flavor is weak chocolate stout with raspberry puree. Its drinkable but no where near worth the hype. Well, if you enjoy fruit purees in your stout, you might like this. This was the only drinkable out of all the fruit abductions.

Bottle - Pours black with a thin tan ring of head. Nose is chocolate-covered raspberry with lightly roasted dark malt. Taste is the same--seedy raspberry with dark chocolate. Sweet but not overpowering, with a little coffee. Thinner than I would have guessed.

Bottle sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Loads of raspberry and chocolate. My god, I could drink this everyday. Another homerun from Pipeworks.
