Smells like raspberries. Taste is total raspberry tartness up front. It coats your mouth and dissolves into chocolate at the end. Very fun beer!

Bottle pours root beer color with light head and lace. Notes of vanilla, marsh, raspberry, taste is sugar candy, rasp, and funk. Medium body. Enjoyable.

Bottle shared by Hopscotch. Dark brown pour with an off white head. Dark roasted malt and mild raspberry aromas. Huge raspberry notes, with rich roasted malts, caramel, and bitter chocolate back beats. Above average mouthfeel and body.

Bottle shared with friends. Lots of raspberry flavor here, no big surprise, but the body tasted a little thin and it just seemed to lack a certain something I canít put my finger on. Good but not great.

Pours basically black with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is dark chocolate and a lot of roastiness... it doesnít really smell sweet at all & itís not especially complex... but it is inviting and pleasant so thatís good.

The flavor really has a nice seedy & jammy raspberry expression... itís not overwhelming nor does it lend much in the way of sweetness, but it is very very enjoyable and becomes brighter and more prevalent as the beer opens up. The roastiness is nice and the chocolate character tends towards the darker more bitter chocolate... which fits the beer perfectly.

Hot Damn I think this beer is pretty cool.

Dark chocolate and raspberry nose. Slight dark pink hue mixed with dark brown. Light tan head that was mostly diminishing. Good lacing. Taste is dark chocolate raspberry. Lively carbonation but slightly watery mouth feel. Fruit lingers in the finish. All in all a pleasure to try. Wouldnít want more than the couple ounces though.

This was a bit too sweet for me. As with the orange truffle this has a lot of chocolate in the nose and taste. Although where the orange triumphed this faultered. The raspberry is just too much. Its too tart and sweet. If they had toned down the raspberry just a touch this would be unbelievable. Pretty good brew but not great.
