Clear brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, raspberry. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, raspberry, dark malt. Body is medium to full, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 750 ml bottle poured a clear dark brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of raspberry, cocoa, light vanilla and light roastiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of raspberry, cocoa, roastiness and light vanilla with a smooth dry lingering cocoa/raspberry finish.

Sample from batch #117 at Kurtkeller 004: Pipeworks-tastic 01 on 01/18/2014. Pours a dark cola color with a medium foamy tan head that dissipates gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries, chocolate and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of tart raspberry, chocolate malt and slight coffee. The finish is malty and fruity with a slightly sour raspberry aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

A big thanks to dcschiller for sharing this. Dark brown pour, fudgey brown head. Flavor is exactly damn what it says on the bottle! Raspberry truffles! Sweet berries intertwined with fudgey notes, vanilla...awesome!!
