Bottle share thanks to Homer321. batch 120. Deep dark blackish pour. Aroma is huge raspberry, chocolate, tobacco character. Lots of raspberry flavoring, sweet, light roasty, more raspberry. Best if the abduction beers I had so far.

Pours dark reddish brown with quickly dissipating khaki head. Not much aroma, faint chocolate and raspberry. Taste is tart and somewhat robust raspberry followed by dark chocolate that lingers nicely. Gets better by the sip, very tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

kaser (2791) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 23, 2014
Black pour from 22oz bottle. Thick with brown ring of head. The raspberry aroma is subtle - the taste is massive. Chocolate and creamy. A thick beer. Almost syrupy. Very good.

strong raspberry start with a chocolate following. the porter does not really pull through on this one. similar to the passionfruit in style. had a bottle pour at kasers. pours reddish black in color with a tan head. the raspberry aroma is incredible.

dinkle50 (999) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 21, 2014
Black pour with an espresso head that fades quick. Aroma of raspberries. Big thick mouth. Chocolate covered Raspberry flavor with a tartness at the very end. Very satisfying. Chocolate is sweet, raspberry is tart, which play very well. Fresh fruit notes. Raspberry is slightly medicinal, but not overwhelming. Drinks real easy for 10.5%.

Nice appearance: beady head and lace, solid retention. Razzy aroma, roasty, chocolatey, a touch of booze. Works better than expected; pretty good but it's no Lindley Park.

Bottle via trade. New batch. Deep brown with a small head. Very strong raspberry coulis. Raspberry jam. Very bright and aggressive raspberry character. Some dark chocolate and nutella. Frankly, the flavor’s verysimilar. Slight earthy roast malt. Some acid, coffee. Plenty of raspberry, fruit by the foot. Medium body, soft carb. Drinks pretty well for the chunky ABV. Tasty.

tmoreau (2465) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 26, 2014
Cellared 750 ml. bottle, shared and poured to snifters showing a dark, mahogany color, with a decent layer of tan head foam, and clingy spots of lacing. The nose was moderately roasted, cocoa, treacle, dark fruit, and some raspberry jam. Medium+ bodied, with soft carbonation, the taste was similar notes, with some syrupy stickiness, nicely melded alcohol, plus a distinct and lingering tartness. A tasty, cordial-like Stout.

HonkeyBra (3421) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - AUG 25, 2014
New batch, batch numbers 487-490. 22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, raspberry, dark roasted malt notes. Flavor of raspberry, chocolate, cocoa and chocolate syrup notes. Mild bitterness and some twang from the raspberries. Full bodied with a slick palate, below average carbonation. Finishes with chocolate and raspberry.

750ml bottle pours dark brown black with 2 finger offwhite head. Nose is earthy roast cocoa, stale coffee, soil, compost, some fruity raspberry and vinous notes. Taste is nice creamy hershey chocolate, chocolate syrup, some coffee bean, composty fruit, berry. Finish is creamy semi sweet cocoa, earthy bitter chocolate, berry syrup. Just a touch of weirdness I can’t put my finger on but tastes pretty good.
