This was a bit too sweet for me. As with the orange truffle this has a lot of chocolate in the nose and taste. Although where the orange triumphed this faultered. The raspberry is just too much. Its too tart and sweet. If they had toned down the raspberry just a touch this would be unbelievable. Pretty good brew but not great.

Bottle. Pours black with a big, brown head. Aroma has raspberry, licorice, jam, chocolate and a good deal of roast.Taste is surprisingly non-sweet with some slight tartness from the fruits and a roasty bitterness. Still some jammy sweetness though. Medium low carbonation and a medium full body. Pretty decent.

Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of raspberry, chocolate, liquorice, roast, weak coffee and some jam. The taste has some raspberry jam, chocolate, weak roast, salty liquorice and weak coffee notes. Like a chocolate cake wit raspberries in it. I think this worked quite well actually!

Bottle. It’s a very black beer with a creamy beige head. Sweet chocolate raspberry pie in the aroma. The flavor is quite sweet but the raspberry adds a bitter pleasant note. Also some roasted notes as well as chocolate. But cloying.

Bottle @ Kristrup tasting. Pours black with a very small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, rich fresh tart raspberries, light chocolate, light coffee. Flavor is light sweet, fruity, malty, rich raspberries, light chocolate, light alcohol. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, light tart fruity finish with some warming alcohol. The tart raspberries works wonders with the stout here. 310115
