COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rye Barleywine Style Ale. The unicorn may have finally found its match in Death Incarnate. But hold your horned horses, because the unicorn lives to rye another day! What a sickle joke! But, we aren’t tricking you, this barley wine is a real treat, with a rich malt skeleton and a more than paranormal amount of hops. If you’re going to harvest soul-y one beer this season, don’t fear the reaper...

Caramel and toffee in the aroma, pours a brilliant candy apple red with a orange head that dissipates almost instantly. Super clean front palette caramel, bread with a nice balancing bitterness touches of citrus and pine and a bit of alcohol really late in the finish

madvike (3007) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 16, 2013
Bottle - Pours hazy brown with a ruby red tint. Nose is plasticy, oddly fruity, some rye spice, with herbal, piney hops. Taste is dry, spicy malt with grassy herbal pine hops, with some citrus peel on the finish. Real malty and a little too sharp. Medium body with medium carbonation. Not my favorite Pipeworks beer.

I am not sure who shared this at Kyle’s tasting but thanks to whomever it was. Lots of hops giving a citrus aroma and flavor, with malt taking a back sweat. Alcohol in the flavor and on the palate, similar to a double IPA.
