Served from a 22oz bomber into a Tulip, Brownish red color, nice finger of foam that disappears after a few minutes. Piney and spice in the aroma. Slight note of alcohol as it warms, but subtle. Some malty sweetness up front, followed by hop bitterness , More pine and bitter citrus peel, earthy and dry in the finish. light carb. overall a very nice barley wine with a hidden abv of 10%. Drink it now or wait a few months either way this is very nice. Cheers!

Pours tan, muddy, thin off white head. Some toast, light caramel. Medium body with a high boost level. And pretty much forgettable the minute the last sip is downed.

22oz bomber shared by Ben. Hazy unfiltered orange-burgundy. Rich malts, and a big piny resinous hop bite. Citrus edged. Pretty drinkable for the ABV. Really pronounced hop bite. Cooling hop finish perfectly balances the big malts.

A- pours a turbid apple cider brown with honey colored edges. Solid finger of light tan head and great lacing. S- aromas are more nuanced than other pipeworks barley wines. Caramel, apple candies, and toffee are still strong, but some coffee grounds, pine, dirt and citrus pith create a balanced entry. Various hop notes are mixed in, like grapefruit, grass and soap with some lively wet zinc dancing in the back of the nose. M- chewy and lightly gritty medium body. Decent carb. T- dirty, dry start with some overripe apples, caramel and toffee. Cinnamon and nutmeg spices follow. Hop notes, coriander, grape seed, orange and grapefruit introduced towards the middle. Ending is sharper with some bitter grasses, celery, soap and pepper. Minerals too. Nice take on the style and alcohol is well hidden and lacks a heavy burn.
