Pours a deep golden with a small head & some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is bright with some grassy/weedy hops, like weedwacking in the hot summer... that aroma... along with some citrus and a mild but more than I would prefer alcohol aroma.

The flavor is bright and full of herbal on citrus fruit hop character, it’s fairly dry and keeps the booziness pretty well in check.

Nice

Dark amber/ruby, with thin cap of head that dissipates to a thin ring. Little to no carbonation and some lacing. Nose is a rediculous amount of pinrapple with pineapple, pear, grape, tropical sweetness and hops. All fruit here. Awesome. Mouth is all grapefruit and tangerine. Some tropical fruits, but not a lot of sweetness. A lot of citra and Simcoe hops. A decent amount of bitterness.

A: Dark orange color, hazy with little sediment. Two fingers of creamy fluffy off-white / light tan colored head. S: Amazing aroma on this. Pine hops, grapefruit, candy like fruit, mango, some dank. Hint of plastic. T: A lot of piney grapefruit, floral. Some dankness. M: Dry and crisp (love that) with some resinous hop bitterness and just a hint of alcohol warmth on the finish. O: Love Pipeworks, Simcoe and Citra are my favorite Ninja’s so far. Love going to Binny’s weekly seeing what goods they come out with.

Bottle sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Loads of lemon and orange citrus with a decent caramel malt backbone. Another pipeworks homerun.

Cloudy orange pour with a single finger head. Citrus aroma. Some caramel. Very smooth mouth. Long bite. Good citrus component throughout. Really tasty with a super hidden 9.5% ABV. Nicely done gents!

Pours a rich and somewhat hazy golden amber with sandy tan head. Awesome nose, lots of spicy and peppery/zesty hop notes with some intense fruity tones and citrus rind. Some resin comes through with warmth and a touch of bready malt. Very spicy/zesty hop character in the flavor and on the finish with the alcohol accentuating that. Fruity notes with citrus and pine resin being dominant. Medium body with a bit of weight to it and spicy bitterness.

22 oz bottle served in a Pipeworks snifter. Batch #124 A: Pours a dark amber color with a yellowish head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin cap and thick collar. Sticky sheets for lace are left down the glass. S: All simcoe, all the time. Piney and earthy with a little grapefruit backing. Some mild scallion as well. Sweet caramel malt balances it out. T: Same as the nose. Sweet grapefruit with some earthy hops. Mild scallion on the very backend with some sweet bready malts. M: Medium bodied with a medium carbonation level. Earthy hops on the finish. O: Full blown simcoe. Hits on all the levels and flavors you’d want from a beer like this. Tasty for sure. Serving type: bottle 05-19-2013
