Big head on cloudy deep yellow body. Hoppy aroma. Nothing like it smells, rather than solely citrus, getting pineapple and tropical fruit. Above average mouthfeel, not the palate eraser some DIPAs are. Very good drinkability. Thanks Johnsense for this little gem.

Outstanding DIPA - unique, well balanced, fresh The best aspect is the nose - ripe fruit sweetness, pine and slight grass notes, with a Belgian malt/yeast/brett? character. Other aspects followed suit.

Bottle from Binny’s. Pours a nice ever-so-slightly hazy orange, with some head retention and decent lacing. What can I say but I am a sucker for DIPAs... particularly good ones and this qualifies. Pine in the nose, citrus and pine on the palate, medium bodied with a decent finish. The last beer I rated from PWBC was not so great (the Blueberry Berliner Weiss), but stuff this one is what I’ve come to expect from these guys.

Bomber from Rogers Park Finest. Awsome brew guys! Pours a brilliant golden orange with a decent white coloured head. Hangs around for a while. Aromas are dominated by the hops as expected. Mainly pine resin with tropical fruit salad in support. Some sweet caramle hiding in the back ground. Good stuff. Flavors are once again all about the hops. No to much else going on by resiny hop bitterness. Fullish mouthfeel. Good stuff.

Bottle from a trade with Pawola22. Batch #32. Pours hazy burnt orange color with off white head. Juicy grapefruit and citrus aromas with some caramel. Moderately bitter grapefruit and lemon flavors with some sweet caramel. A little boozy. Medium body with moderate carblnation. Thanks Brian.

Bottle from Binny’s Marcy. Pours a glowing golden orange, same frothy white head. The nose is a bit generic but distinctly hoppy. Plenty of grapefruit and citrus to go around, light sweetness (alcohol?). On tasting, I really like this one. Fresh, though non-descript, hops, citrusy and floral dominant. Big bitterness and very clean. Balanced by malt but a touch boozy perhaps? Still quite a solid IIPA overall. Nice.

Gold pour, massive puffy white head. Floral hoppy aroma with juicy grapefruit tangerine and lemon peel. Bitter hops up front, grapefruit, pine, grassy. Slightly spicy in the finish. Medium bodied.

22 oz bottle from Printers Row (Chicago, IL). An exciting new DIPA from the Pipeworks Boys. Love you guys. Pours a richer golden amber blend, richer haze, some glowing golden orange flashes throughout, more dulled in the middle. A frothy offwhite head atop, dies to a firm layer and laces ok overall. Aromas offer some richer bitter hops, florals and grass, grapefruit, bits of lemon. Lots of florals, resiny pine with more lemon and gentle spice from the Sorachi element. Some bready and cereal cleaner malts offer mellow sweetness, but this guy is quite bitter and fresh dry hops on the nose. Initial is richer deep bitterness, florals and oranges, lots of lemons, grass, and resinous pine. Some touches of girth from the malt, touch of ABV related heat, bready and mellow pale malts. Rich bitterness, that Sorachi really asserts itself as we move into the middle, that lemony spicy element with some heat, girth. Richly dry, stark elements, with bready and cereal clean malts in the middle. Backend and finish offers more hop flavors, lemons and some grapefruit, more spicy lemon Sorachi feel. Florals, grass, dryness grows firmly. Some white fuzzy peach, grapefruit at times. The flavors are on, palate experience really good through middle and backend. Front end ends up a bit more bland and bready as it warms, but backend grabs me back. I like Sorachi Ace, and the flavors are nice here, and it’s quite unique as far as the DIPA segment. But maybe that’s why it just feels a little odd in the fold as the dominant hop. A really nice DIPA, fresh and local, good flavors, richer bitter hops. But I prefer the Unicorn v Ninja for it’s vibrant nose and flavors. Nice work, guys.

Bottle drank on same day it was released. Pours orange with white head. A lot of citrus in the aroma, mainly dominated by lemon. A bit sweeter than I expected but it had somewhat of a spicy/bitter finish. Easily one of the best beers they have released and its only the first batch.
