Super easy drinking. No crazy hops up in your face as soon as you open the beer. Just nice normal IPA stylings.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Brigadier (2230) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - MAR 24, 2013
22 ounce bottle
Thanks to tastybeer for bringing this back from Chicago. An enjoyable IPA is a bit on the heavy side to be sessionable but well in line with everything else in the Midwest. If all breweries had a go to beer like this in their lineup then I would have no problems finding reliable fallbacks when I travel.
Aroma / Appearance - The stark white head is bright like whitening toothpaste. Caramel carbonation rests underneath. Floral aspects rise from the glass with lemons and oranges sharp on the nose. Airy and open it feels like a warm spring afternoon.
Flavor / Palate - Sweet and resiny, the mouthfeel clings to the palate. Tart lemons carry into a pleasing finish. One or two pours would be enough for me for a night but this is a fine beer. Depending on the price tag and backlog if I could buy this locally I might just keep one on hand most of the time.

Bottle shared by Sarah, thanks! Pours a clear amber gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice grassy and citrus hop note with a backbone of bread. Flavor is similar with light citrus and grass with a bread backbone.

Pours a hazy golden hue, with a nice frothy creamy head. Extremely hoppy taste, even the head taste hoppy. Very good strong IPA had it out of a bomber..
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ChiGuy68 (109) - Illinois, USA - FEB 24, 2013

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 AWISLguy (668) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Bomber from Fischmans. Pours a fairly clear yellow-orange with a spongy white head leaving nice lacing. Aroma has citrus and pine and caramel with some breadiness. Taste is of pineapple, grapefruit and lemons, pine, some resin and faintly sweet caramel. Quite sticky and bitter. The malts are only occasionally present, but - despite the bitterness - it is still very nice and very tasty. Finishes long and mostly bitter, with underlying sweetness. A nice IPA. Pipeworks continues to distribute some solid offerings!

Bomber from trade, thin head on pour, lingering bitterness, slightly off balance.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber with a whispy off-white head. Rich sweet floral and citrus hops aroma with a somewhat dank character. Quite hoppy, very bitter, pine, resinous, mildly sweet body. Finish is deep and bitter and lingers potently. A big, bad and very tasty IPA.
